Never in your 16 years of life had you come across someone as loud, as abrupt, as humorous and as attractive as George Weasley. He was everything you wanted in a guy, and more. Of course, there were several Slytherin boys who checked everyone of those boxes as well, but they weren't George. George was popular, sporty, attractive (again) and up for (almost) everything. He had a family who adored him and loved him to death and a twin brother who stuck with him through everything.

However, there was one little problem that couldn't possibly be overlooked.

You were (Y/N) Malfoy. Daughter of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, older sister to Draco Malfoy. If anyone forgot, the pale blonde hair on your head screamed "Malfoy" every time you walked down the hallway to and from class. You held your head high and you were commonly seen as too prideful for your own good.

George was a Weasley. Son of Arthur and Molly Weasley. Brother to many siblings. If anyone forgot, the constant fireworks and sparks would remind them. He was humbled and laid-back.

If past family history has said anything, Malfoys and Weasleys don't mix.

As far as you knew, he hated your guts. You would never know, however, as the fear of rejection and humiliation intimidated you too much to even -.

" - Ms. Malfoy, as much as I don't like being in this room, I still manage to stay in focus during lessons. So, if you so please, sit up." Snape's voice rang with annoyance as he tapped you out of your thoughts.

You sighed a bit, mumbling a small 'sorry' and sat up straight. You heard a snicker a couple of desks behind you. Not wanting anymore unnecessary attention from Snape, you thought nothing of it. Snape continued to drone on about your next project and how the pairs he assigned you will "benefit both you and your partner". You lay your head on your arm as he paired students with their friends, enemies and mere acquaintances. You perked your head up, quickly as he called out your name.

"Ms. Malfoy, you will be paired with Mr. Weasley." Your heart stopped. Hopefully, he meant Fred. That'd be fine. You could be mean to him and you wouldn't feel too bad about it. You prayed to Merlin that Fred Weasley sat down next to you. Much to your dismay, George plopped himself next to you. You let out a small curse, you heart both stopped, but beat at a unnaturally fast pace.

"Malfoy." Merlin, even his sneers were hot. You nodded, curtly, then quickly turned to Snape for further instruction.

"Now, since we have virtually no time left to actually begin the project today, I ask that you and your partner complete a worksheet on prior knowledge of the potion I will ask you to make." Snape went around the classroom, placing papers in front of every pair. You stared at your paper, praying to anyone above that your feelings would not get in the way of making this potion correctly.

"Hopefully, Snape likes you enough to disregard me." George said as the classroom grew louder with everyone talking and working.

"What?" You asked, hoping he would clarify, not daring to make eye contact with the redhead.

"I'm not sure if you've noticed, Malfoy, but I am rubbish at potions," He matter-of-factly stated. Goddammit, you knew you had it bad as you felt a blush creep up your neck when he said your name, albeit, your last name.

"You want me to do all the work, then?" You smirked, looking up at him to see him playing with a loose thread on his bag.

"Well, now that you offered." He stated, pulling slightly at the thread. He looked up at you through his eyelashes. Your breath caught it your throat and you quickly looked at your paper and picked up your quill. Did he know what he did to you? Merlin, you'd kill to have someone else be your partner. You read the second question on the paper right as a bell rang signalling all to leave for their next class.
