The quidditch pitch was packed as the first game of the season started. It was my house, Hufflepuff, against Gryffindor, my boyfriend's house. We lost to Gryffindor for two straight years now, but it was now our time to get revenge. I was squished between two upper classmen as I watched my team and Gryffindor's file out onto the field.

Madam Hooch gave her normal warning about a clean game before tossing the quaffle into the air. I watched as Cedric Diggory flew overhead with Harry Potter trailing after him. As much as I wanted to keep track of what was going on with the Hufflepuff team, my focus kept moving over to Oliver. He was racing between the post, making sure none of the Hufflepuff's chasers got the quaffle in.

The crowd went wild as Cedric and Harry flew pack down onto the pitch, almost colliding with the pitch grass. They both pulled up and headed straight into the sky again. I cupped my hands around my mouth, "Go, Cedric!"

They turned sharply before coming back down. The wind whipped past me as Cedric followed Harry close almost inside the Hufflepuff stand. Everyone stood up and watched as the two seekers were neck to neck, both reaching out for something only they could see. " - And he's down ladies and gentlemen! Yes, you saw it with your own two eyes. The Gryffindor keeper, Oliver Wood, just took a quaffle to the chest," Lee Jordan called out.

The Gryffindor stand booed as a quaffle went into through one of the hoops. At the bottom of the three Goal post was my boyfriend laying in the sand. "Shit," I whispered, getting up from my seat and weaving through my fellow classmates. I skipped down the long stairwell in the center of the Hufflepuff stand as fast as I could. I made my way over to the Gryffindor dugout where hopefully Oliver was being moved too.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked behind me to see Professor McGonagall. "Miss Y/N, come with me."

"But Oliver-" I said, pointing to the dugout.

"Mr. Wood will be moved to the Hospital Wing. We must not get in the way of him being transported back to the castle." I nodded my head. "Come on now, if we start back now, we may get there the same time as Mr. Wood."

Professor McGonagall was right. As soon as she opened the doors to the Hospital Wing, I could see Oliver laying in a cot with Madam Pomfrey scurrying around him. Oliver was struggling to sit up and Madam Pomfrey pushed him back down onto the cot. "You're not leaving just yet."

"I feel fine, I'm telling ya," he grimaced.

"Mr. Wood, for once, please listen to Madam Pomfrey," McGonagall told him as she made her way over to his cot. "What is it this time?"

"Two broken ribs," Pomfrey said. "And more bruised. Mr. Wood just needs to rest. No visitors."

I nodded my head. If rest was what Oliver needed, I wouldn't bother him. I started to turn around to leave when Professor McGonagall called out to me. "Miss Y/N, you, of course, can stay."

"Aye, Y/N's here?" Oliver asked, trying to sit up.

I watched Pompfrey push him back onto the mattress again. I shook my head as I walked over to them. Madam Pomfrey and Professor McGonagall moved out of the way so I could sit on the edge of his cot. Oliver's uniform was off and laying across the chair next to him while his chest was wrapped up in bandages. "Don't let him up."

"Of course, Madam Pomfrey," I said. Her and McGonagall went to her office, leaving us alone.

"Sorry a Hufflepuff Quaffle took you out," I said softly.

Oliver grabbed my hand with his and squeezed. "It was my fault more, ya see. I was trying to keep an eye on you."

"You were watching me?" I asked him.

Oliver nodded his head. "I needed to make sure my girl was keeping up with the winners."

I snorted so loud, I covered my mouth with my other hand. "You are truly ridiculous, Oliver Wood, because no one was winning at that time."

Oliver rolled his eyes. "We both know the Gryffindor team is better."

"You better keep your mouth shut," I said to him, leaning closer. "Just because you're hurt doesn't mean I won't do anything. We Hufflepuff's are very loyal to our team."

Our noses bumped and Oliver grinned at me. "It's not very Hufflepuff to hurt someone when they're down." He shifted and pain streaked across his face. "That bloody quaffle hit me good."

"I'm sorry," I whispered, scooting farther up the cot. I gently kissed Oliver's forehead, he cupped my face with his hand, and ran his thumb over my jaw.

"I still can't believe I'm the luckiest bloke in the school," he whispered.

"What are you talking about?"

"You're my girl, Y/N."

A faint blush tinted my cheeks and Oliver kissed me. Ever since we started dating, he always referred to me as his girl. Which always made me blush like nothing else. "Close your eyes and rest, Oliver. I'll be here with you."
