Paul put his phone away and turned to his friend, who had a weird smirk painted on his face.
"What?"
"Who's that? Ava, you said her name was? Isn't she in our class or something?" Sahib asked.
"Yes, she is. Wow, you don't pay attention to anything, do you?" he sighed.
"No, it ain't interesting to me in any way shape or form," he replied boredly.
By now, they were out of the back gate and were thinking whether to go home and separate ways or carry on walking about.
"Should we walk around for a bit?" Paul suggested. "Up there," he pointed up a tiny hill. "I want to see what's there."
Sahib simply shrugged and nodded.
"Sure."
They made their way up the hill and came to a flat road. The houses looked average before they went down some steps and saw some very rich houses. There were three directions that they could've gone in, down the supposed hill, left, or right. They chose to go right, which was a clump of houses which met a dead end. As they were observing them, Sahib noticed that something was off. All the houses were linked together, but of course there was a wall separating them and there were different houses that had different people living in them. However, he noticed that one was all linked together and only had one door, which was bang in the middle and it didn't look like it had walls separating it.
It looked about maybe 10 houses long, and could've been classed as a mansion. And as he kept looking and observing it, the more it stood out from the other houses in the area. It was like a ginormous mansion that was so tall, but somehow disguised to look like it was the same height as the others. As Sahib peered at the tob, he saw an average height blonde girl with glasses sitting there, with her legs and feet dangling off of the edge. At a point she jumped and he nearly shouted in alarm when a little girl teleported right in front of the blonde, grabbed her and teleported back onto the rooftop.
He was shocked and surprised. The first thing he did was stand still and stare, his lips parted and his fingers spread out, as if he had just been hit by lightning.
"Sahib, what's wrong?" Paul tapped his shoulder, but Sahib didn't move, not even a flinch. "What is so shocking that you are looking at?"
He looked in the same direction and Sahib was looking and was right on time to see Imogen getting teleported by Alex to the rooftop.
"What the-" he cut himself off.
"Should we check it out or-" Sahib couldn't even finish before Paul ran up to the door and banged his fists on it.
----------------------------------BACK IN THE HOUSE--------------------------------
Luke was about to drift off to some sleep when a loud banging sound came from the front door. His first reaction was fear. If it was Alex, Julia, or Imogen, they would've opened it and not banged on it. I wouldn't be Tana either, since she had a habit of coming in throung the windows at bad moments. He rushed out of his room and down the stairs, only to se Eva unlocking the door.
"Aren't you going to check who's out there first?!" he whisper-shouted.
Eva 'shh'ed him and whispered back, "I'm a demon now, remember?"
That was enough to make Luke shut up and go to the living room, but that didn't stop him from leaving a little creak in the door to look through. Eva opened the door and stared boredly at the two boys who had horrified expressions on their faces.
"What?" she snapped.
"Are your parents home?" the tall one asked.
"My parents are out in town, I have a bunch of my friends over and my siblings in the house," Eva replied.
