"Ack!" he groaned in pain as he felt hand go purple.

The chains were holding his wrists so tightly all the blood had done from his hands. He couldn't feel his hands. Here he was, with his friends, stuck in his human form and them lying about, probably dead.

"Help," he croaked out. "Help!"

"Halo?" another voice called.

His eyebrows furrowed in confusion. That didn't sound like Yeqon or one of his puppets that he created. Patrick didn't hesitate and instantly took the chance.

"Help!" he screamed, ignoring his dry throat which ached. "HELP ME!"

"Oh, hi," the voice was closer. "Who are you?"

"I'm Patrick, please untie me," he begged.

"Uhhhh," the latter stalled. "One sec."

The boy left.

One minute passed.

Patrick grew scared again, had the boy left him?

"Oh shi-"

He heard clattering and someone his in pain.

"Are you still there?" he called.

"Yup, still here, still alive, gosh, being a hybrid makes it so hard to keep your limbs intact," he commented. "Ok, I have some tools from my house, so wait a sec."

Patrick relaxed and waited. He heard footsteps approach him and and cut of the chains.

"Yah, it's still wrapped around my wrist. There's a lock but I don't think the key is he-"

"I found a key," the latter said, approaching again and unlocked it.

Patrick was baffled.

"Who are you?" he asked the strange boy.

"I'm Gavriel."

"Last name?"

"Gavriel Park."

He scrambled away quickly, shocked at what he heard.

"You can't be related to Tana… right?" he asked, suspicious.

"I kinda am…" Gavriel scratched his head awkwardly. "I'm her brother."

"You're dead," Patrick pointed a trembling finger at the boy, the blood already circulating through it. "You died with your parents in the Evil War."

"Yeah," he shrugged. "Yeqon brought me back, but then Tana killed me again, and he couldn't bring me back as a Vampire so he brought me back as a bat hybrid instead, which I guess is close enough."

He was mortified. If Yeqon had brought him back, didn't that mean he was on Yeqon's side?

"Why did you free me? Yeqon captured me, and if he brought you back doesn't that mean that you're in his side and you should be helping him?" Patrick questioned.

"Oh, Yeqon did this?" Gavriel gestured to the chains and his friends. "He captured you all?"

"Don't you know?"

"No, I literally just woke up and my roomate had gone to school already so I go to the kitchen only to find a fucking portal blocking the fridge, so I came here and found you," he explained.

Patrick realized the way this jail worked when Gavriel explained how he got here.

"He's moving the portal all around the world, so it's likely nobody would ever get in or out," he thought aloud. "But still, aren't you on Yeqon's side?"
