One week passed already and the doctor got so hopeless about me getting better. Sian was crying all nights after doctor' s speech. The greatest possibility for me was death.

After getting know Sian I did not want to die at all. I wanted to be with him and only with him. I wanted to marry him and be happy after all. But if that happens...

I am lying in bed over two weeks now and I am getting very bored lying just there. 

Knock Knock

Who is it?

'You can come in.' I say.

Noor and doctor come in. And Ben behind them.

'Leonora.'  Noor says.

'Good morning.' I say.

'I am sorry that you had to suffer so long time. Finally, now I think of one who studied all plants. Ben. I could ask him earlier sorry.' he says.

'Ben is good at it?' I ask. It was a lie.

'Yes. So now let him examine you and then he will work on it.' Noor says.

'I am sorry that I cannot do anything for you, princess Leonora. I feel so hopeless about my experience. Maybe I will stop being a doctor...' doctor starts.

'Do not stop with something you love. Do not stop if the body is not a reason. You know every illness someone had before. But I got something bad and got a rare illness. You are not a bad doctor. You can do many things. So do not stop being a doctor.' I say.

'Thank you, princess, for believing in me and my abilities. I am grateful for stopping me. I am working here five years already and every patient of mine got better. I healed every patient I got. I did not think of it. Thank you for reminding me. Princess Leonora.' he says.

'Sometimes when something happens we did conclusions very early. At that moment we did not see that our conclusions are not true because in our mind we are judging just one or few moments when happened the same or quite the same thing. You cannot heal me because you did not have certain knowledge. But did you ask yourself if you had the opportunity to learn it? You cannot learn it if there is a possibility that I am the first patient with this illness. Do not be so hard on yourself. You are an amazing doctor.' I say.

'You are wise. Have you studied at Micao?' doctor asks.

'I have not studied. I had it prohibited to earn a piece of knowledge. These things I got from living not from books. I know that most of the knowledge is there but many things are not in books because there was not someone who would write about it and tell the whole world about something he discovered.' I continue.

'Still, I believe that I can study in future. At least to be able to read and write.' I end.

'That is a great idea, princess Leonora.' says doctor.

Then I let Ben examine me. Then he says that I should rest until he comes back.

Noor stayed with me.

'You want to be able to read and write? Why?' he asks.

'I want to help my husband and do not be just one who is just housewife. I do not want to feel that I can do nothing to help him that I am useless.' I say.

'Like I said before you are so much different from others.' he says.

'You said it maybe five times but still, I do not believe your words. It still does not affect me, my mind.' I answer.

 'Maybe not now but I think that moment of affection will come early.' he says.

'And I appreciated that you want to know more, to read or to write.' he continues.

'If I were your daughter would you prohibit me a studying?' I ask.

'No. Even if you are my wife. I will be glad if you know something about the kingdom or be able to read or write.' he says.

'And do you think that Sian would think about it the same as you do?' I ask him.

'I do not ask him about this kind of things and if even I did ask him yourself?' he tells me.

'I am here!' shouts Ben from the door.

He comes to us and then he says: 'Sit.' 

I sit slowly. He sits on the bed next to me and he is leaning over to me with a spoon, filled with my medicine, in his right-hand. My medicine was kind of syrup. But it smells like herbs.

'Open your mouth.' he says.

I did as he said.

He takes the spoon to my mouth. I lick a little bit from the spoon. It tastes horrible. I end it licking.

'Leonora, all of it.' Ben says.

Do not think about it, Leonora.

Then I swallow it all.

'I will come with your medicine twice a day. So at 20:00 I am here again.' Ben says.

'Thank you, Ben.' I say.

'Thank you, Ben, too.' says Noor.

'You can leave I will stay with Leonora.' says Ben.

'Okay. I am going to train.' says Noor.

After Noor leaves Ben sits again at my bed. it was silence but then I said.

'I am glad that you helped me, Ben.' I say.

'Will you marry me?' he asks.

'I am sorry but no.' I say.

'I thought it.' he says sadly.

'So if you did why did you...' I want to ask him.

'Your memory is not so good.' he says.

'Maybe it is true. I do not know. Nobody wanted me to remember anything.' I say truthfully.

'I told you that I want to be famous for marrying you but not for killing you.' he says.

'And this illness could kill you. And maybe you would tell Noor or you had already done it.' he says.

'I had not told to Noor.' I say.

He looks at me surprised.

'I did not want Noor to hurt you. Yes, I do not like the way you treated me but still, it does not mean that I will treat you the same way as you did.' I say frankly.

'You are so good for this cruel world.' says Ben and with this, I just smile. I do not think so. But the only thing I am thinking about now is that Ben compliment me...
