Jason stepped outside, looking up to see the clear blue skies. He smiled, feeling the warmth of the morning sun against his face and skin. He looked past the houses, seeing that people were up and going. Surrounding the Virtues' building were the residential areas. It was where everyone else lived along with shops, farms, and a number of other buildings.
As he walked through the residential areas, people that he passed by greeted him with a smile. Some of them even walked alongside him for a small chat. After a little while, he made it outside the kingdom walls.
There was a path that leads into the forest which surrounded the kingdom. Jason made this path himself and knew this area in the back of his head. After a few turns and there, Jason finally steps into a clearing. There was a cliff that overlooks a field of brightly colored flowers. The area allowed him to see the night sky better than any other place which was something he discovered a while ago.
Today was a sunny day and the flowers' colors seemed brighter than usual. While Jason gazes down at the flowers, he felt something was off.
It felt like there was a pair of eyes on him. Jason nervously checked behind him, seeing that there was nobody there.
He still can't shake off the feeling of being watched though.
Maybe someone followed me here... Jason thought.
He walked back into the forest, pushing aside the bushes. "Hello?" Jason called out, peering around. When there wasn't any answer, Jason continued further down the trial.
Something behind him snapped and Jason turned his head in the direction of the noise, growing alarmed. He saw something move in the corner of his eye but it quickly disappeared behind a tree.
"Uhm... there's no need to hide from me," Jason said, slowly walking towards the tree. With each step he takes, there is a feeling that keeps growing bigger and bigger.
Uneasiness.
Jason swallowed, not sure why he was feeling this way. At some point, he must have stopped since his body froze with the sense of dread filling him. The atmosphere had gone cold, with no hint of the sun's warm rays hitting his skin.
He decided that it was best to leave it be and head back to the kingdom.
As he walked away, he heard something behind him.
It was the sound of footsteps.
It was enough for Jason to increase his speed with his heart pounding in his chest. It was the same cold, dreadful feeling that kept Jason from checking behind him.
W-who... what is that?! He has no idea why this was happening.
The footsteps grew louder. The crushing sounds of grass were right behind him. By now, Jason was running.
As soon as he saw the kingdom walls, he smiled in relief. Jason didn't notice that something was heading straight for the back of his head from behind.
There was a loud sound as Jason felt something connect with the back of his head. Hard. The impact caused him to be unbalanced, tripping and falling face-first onto the ground. His shades dropped a few feet away, one of its lens cracking.
His head throbbed as his vision began to black out. His consciousness slowly faded out and it wasn't long before he was out cold.
A figure emerges behind Jason, tossing a sturdy brand away. "Let's see..." He kneels down to check his body.

"Has anyone seen Jason?" Ty asked, concerned. "Usually he's back by now..."
"I asked the others but they haven't seen him either," Sky answered. "I'm sure he'll turn up soon..."
The truth is that Sky is a bit worried as well. Jason had been gone for hours and no one had seen him.
"Do you think he got lost while wandering around?"
"Jason wouldn't go that far..." Sky scowled. "He should be near somewhere."
The two had decided to look for Jason. They looked around at the houses but Jason doesn't seem to be there. The only thing left was the forest which they know Jason goes into often.
"Jason?" Sky called out. "Are you here?" There was no noise besides the crunching of leaves beneath their feet.
Ty pulled back a bush, seeing something orange on the ground. His eyes widened as he quickly motioned Sky over. Jason's orange shades were broken and on the ground. Sky spotted something else, rushing over to it.
It was Jason, lying on the ground.
"Hey, Jason!" Sky kneeled down. "Are you okay?"
Jason's eyes seem to slowly flutter open. "H... huh...?" He seemed confused, looking up at Sky with a disoriented look. "Where... where am I?"
He attempts to sit up but winced in pain as he grabbed the back of his head. "Ugh... my head..."
"Hold on, let's get you back," Sky tells him as he grabs his left arm. Ty hurried over and took his right arm and pulled him up. Together, they help him back into the kingdom.
Seto was at the entrance when he spotted the trio, quickly rushing over to them with a worried face. "What happened?"
"We found him in the forest," Ty answered. "I'm... I'm not sure what happened."
Jason's head started to ache, causing him to grimace. "I want to lay down..." Jason protested.
Seto accompanied the three to Jason's bedroom where Sky and Ty lay him gently on his bed. "I'll get Quentin to come," he said before leaving the bedroom. "Don't go anywhere."
In the forest, the figure in the shadows smiled. "A good look at his face is all I need..."
