15: Photos

The whole afternoon, Jason followed the Virtues closely, noting their names mentally.

Now if I could find the Sorcerer...

He considered asking one of the Virtues where he was but he doesn't know the sorcerer's name. He decided to visit the library where he first saw him. Jason found him there, flipping through pages with his back turned to him.

Jason frowns as he senses the sorcerer's aura. Faint, yes but it is there. He watches books glow purple. His aura.. The books levitated towards the sorcerer. The face of the one in the Mirror Realm flashes into his mind. Jason shuddered, trying to get rid of the image. The Mirror Realm Sorcerer isn't... normal.

He wonder how much similarities does the two realms have. Clearly it does look like the copy but everything else is completely opposite.

It irritated him. How could these humans live here without a worry?

Seto freezes, sensing some disturbance around him. He turns to see Jason behind the door, gazing off into a distance. It was malicious but Seto was busy looking at his face. Jason's face is twisted into a horrible dark expression. A look to kill. Seto reads about these facial expressions.

What's.. happening with Jason..? Seto quickly turn away when he saw Jason blink. He waited a few moments before he felt Jason's presence disappear. Seto turns back to check if he was still there.

"That is not the Jason I know.." Seto mutters.

Sky heads out along with Ty, stretching out his arms. "Those paperwork are a pain." He said. Ty nodded in agreement. He barely read them, his mind was too busy on something else.

I should sleep earlier tonight. Ty thought. I have too much on my mind...

The two suddenly hear a girl crying. Sky frowns, thinking somebody had tripped. It was close by so the two went towards it.

There was a woman with two children. "Come on Zak... Sharing is caring!" She said softly.

"Why should I give my toy to her? She's a dummy." Zak stuck his tongue out at the girl, mockingly. "And she's a-"

Before the boy can finish, the mother gasped and looked at Zak with wide eyes. "How could you say that to your sister?!"

Sky didn't move. What did the boy just do...? It shouldn't be possible.. not with all the Virtues here.

"Stupid face." Zak shouted, proceeding to run off. The mother picks up the crying girl and ran after him, calling out his name.

"What's going on?" Ty looks at Sky. "Why was that boy.."

"We'll discuss this." Sky said. "Call up a meeting."

Ty nodded and went off to notify everyone. Sky looks back at where Zak had ran off to. It can't be... We're all here...

As soon as Jason moved away from the library, he lets his body ease on the disguise. He couldn't stand it. It was so unfair. How could this world.. These people... Everyone here living their life to the fullest when he has to deal with the other Sins and the numerous problems in the Mirror Realm. Why.. why?!

Jason almost kicked the wall in the fit. He takes a couple deep breath. "Calm down..." He whispered to himself. "I'm a Virtue." If he wants to be convincing, he has to find Kindness's bedroom. Jason had slept outside since he didn't want to seem weird. Jason went through the halls, slowly opening doors. The Virtues should be outside.. He worked out a plan if he opens the door on one of them.

Luckily he haven't came across any Virtue or humans. But he found a large room. It looks to be a picture room, with the walls filled with photos. There are desks with numerous pictures frames on them. Jason frowns. The sorcerer must have made these. They were emitting an aura that is similar to the sorcerer's. He looks at the photos up on the wall. It had all the Virtues, with a long picture on the top of the wall. The sorcerer was also there but there was two others who he didn't recognize- a spiky blonde hair boy with light blue eyes and a man with black hair and beard.

Jason looks at the desks. On one of the desks was the black haired man that he doesn't know. It shows him with Sky with matching amulets. 'Have fun on your adventures', reads one of the photo.

Jason looks at the other desk. It had a bright yellow flower. It was a beautiful flower. With the outer petals purple and the insides yellow. Jason takes one of the photo frames to look closer. It was the sorcerer and the blonde boy. He turns it over. On the back was a small handwriting in white.

It reads: we won't forget you. ~Seto

Frowning, Jason flips it back. "Seto.. is that the sorcerer's name?" He sets the picture down and looks up at all the photos again. Happy faces stares back at him. A twinge of anger gets him, making him scowl.

I am.. the Virtue now.. He reminded himself and stepped out of the room. After a while, he finally found the Virtue's room, slowly opening the door. It looks almost the same as the one that was destroyed in the Mirror Realm. He knew because he once lived in the castle. That is before Ira went on a rampage, destroying the whole area. He was the only one living there so the other Sins wasn't bothered.

"It's been a while." Jason mumbled. That long that he forgotten where the room was. He steps into the room, looking around and caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror. He froze, staring back at himself. It wasn't the Virtue of Kindness. But a sad, miserable soul. It was himself.

Jason takes the mirror and smashes it to the ground, huffing. "No.. no.. no.. I'm Jason now.." He said frantically.

"Jason?!" Someone shouted from outside. Jason quickly turns around to see the door opening. Ty stands in the doorway. "Wh-what happened? I heard something broke."

"Ah.. I accidently knocked the mirror over." Jason replied, facing away from the shards. I can't let anyone see my true form... "I wasn't looking."

"Hold on, let me grab a broom." Ty tells him before he went back of the room. Jason looks back at the pieces of the glass. Why is it that the mirror shows me.. He reaches down to pick one of the shards. Jason carefully try to touch his own image but his hand slips through easily.

Ty came back to sweep the pieces into a dustbin. "You should be more careful." He scolded. "What if you were cut?"

"Sorry Ty." Jason said sheepishly. "I wasn't paying attention..."

"Anyways, Sky's calling up a meeting." Ty informed him.

"A meeting?" Jason blinks. Ty nodded.

What could this meeting be about?
