"Ugh! Stop taking out your anger on me." Lucy whined and stood up dusting her pants.

"Sorry" I said but even I knew I didn’t mean it. I started taking off the white cloth from around my hands. I slipped down on the grass and sat cross-legged. Lucy came and sat right in front of me.

We were both in the backyard of the house. Zach and Luke were inside still studying. After Duke had left, Lucy and I studied with Luke and Zach helping them with everything but then I couldn’t take it anymore I would snap at Luke for every question he asked. So, that’s when Lucy dragged me out here and I started taking my anger out on her. The sun was coming up and it was around 5 in the morning we still had like two hours before school.

"I can't believe you're still mad" She said and I looked up glaring at her but she was just smirking at me amused.

"And I can't believe that you're NOT mad" I spat back at her and she rolled her eyes.

"You don’t know that" she retorted back and I just looked at her with a 'yeah right' expression and she stuck her tongue out at me.

"I know you better then you know yourself. You had forgiven Duke the moment he told us about…about the promise" I said hesitating at the promise part.

"Alright fine! But can you seriously blame me??!! V you know that Duke's doing the right thing-" I suddenly cut her off.

"I don’t care if he's doing the right thing or not. All I care about is that this case is about our family and I won't let him just take us off of it because 'it's dangerous'" I said air quoting the 'it's dangerous' words.

"V" Lucy called and suddenly she had become serious.

"You know I want to kill that bastard just as much as you do" She said and I threw my arms up frustrated.

"Then why the hell are you not on my side?! I won't let Duke take us off this case" I said to her but suddenly frowned when I saw an evil smirk on her face.

"Why should we fight Duke and hurt him when we can sneak behind his back and solve this case" She said and suddenly my face brightened.

"I like where this is going" I said urging her to carry on.

"It's us V; them taking us off this case will not stop us from solving this case will it?" She asked and now I was smirking too.

"I like this Lucy" I said winking at her.

"Shut up! You love me the most in this world!" She said with an incredulous expression.

"Actually no I think I love Luke more" I said teasing her with a smirk but that smirk fell right off my face when I realized what I had just said. I was frozen in my place. I looked at Lucy and her mouth and eyes were wide open. She looked like an anime cartoon. And then just like that she shrieked more loudly than a girl in a Justin Bieber concert.

"OMG!! YOU LOVE-hmph" I clamped my hand over her mouth to shut her up.

"Be quiet, you idiot!!" I hissed at her and she wiggled her brows before I felt something wet on my hand and I quickly drew my hand back.
