Chapter 1: Our Loss

Vanessa's P.O.V

"WAKE UP!!"

"Vee wake up"

"This is the last time wake up right now or I'll burn all your Justin Bieber posters"

Yup that did it. I went flying from my bed straight towards the wall of my Justin Bieber posters.

"Don’t you dare touch my babies" I said stroking one of the posters

I am a belieber. Go figure.

"I knew that would do it" She said with a smug look

"I am making breakfast. Hurry up Change and come down .We need to go down to the station Chief called"

Chief and I have never really been on each other's good side. It’s the same story always

He talks I tease Get on his nerves He starts shouting Then there's yelling and then there's Lucy pushing me out of his office

"And please I am in no mood of pushing you so just be good okay?" Lucy said standing in the doorway

I could see she was tired I mean I have been doing this for 4 years. I always had this hatred for Duke. He had always underestimated us if it wasn't for Shawn we would've been going on our first field mission right now.

 "I'll sure try" I said cheekily

She just sighed and went out the door.

After showering and changing into my favorite dark washed jeans and a white V-neck with my leather jacket on top and my sneakers and grabbing my gun out of the drawer I went out of the room. Walking down the stairs I could smell the scrambled eggs. Lucy had always been the cook out of both of us .Me and the kitchen just didn't work out.

"Hey" I said sitting on the chair in the middle of our kitchen.

Our house wasn't a big one. It was a simple two story house. Just the fact that it always had been the two of us never got us to live in a big house. After our families death it was just us. The only thing close to family for us was Shawn. Over the years he became a like a father to us and his wife, Marie has got to be one of the sweetest person ever .It was just the way she was that would make you focus on the positive things rather than the negative ones. They have a son too about our age but we don't really know him, he doesn't even know that his father is a secret agent at an agency that only the government knows about. Shawn and Duke are very much like the owners of this agency but there's one more guy above them who is the main person but I've heard he never really comes out that much.

"What do you think? Why did the Chief called us?" Lucy asked putting the dirty plates into the dishwasher.

"Don't know .Probably to scold us for yesterday" I said remembering how I killed Ron and his gang of drug dealers.

"We were supposed to catch them alive but you just had to kill them" Lucy said scowling.

"Oh c'mon I got all the information out before killing them" I said reassuring her

"Yeah but how can you be so sure maybe there is more."

"Yeah yeah what about that Alvin guy. Did Chris get him to break?" I asked. Chris was also an agent and was older than us .He was picked up from the agency when he was 16 and now he's 22.

"No … Chris tried almost everything but that man just wouldn't break"

I and Lucy do most of the killing whereas Chris is more of the investigation agent.
