"Imagine I have a hangover and quiet the fuck down." Rez stopped short and shot me this confused look.

"A hangover? I didn't know you drank." Logic burst out laughing and my face went white. "Logic, why are you laughing?"

"Nothing... Nothing at all." I groaned as I sat myself up and Rez came over sitting next to me. He reached out and I moved away only for him to sigh and frown. "You have to let him help you Deceit."

"No, I don't. Technically this is kidnapping. I'm being held against my will, by heroes. That's sure to make a headline." Inferno tensed up as he went and sat down, making me start to feel guilty. He must be dealing with a lot from the press since Anxiety's posting. "Relax, I wouldn't do that. The press are pigs that will overexaggerate to the point where its a crime. And if they can manage to make a hero look bad, they will pull at that thread until there's nothing left but the image they created. They will turn that hero into a villain so fast it ain't even funny. Just another decent hero twisted and tainted into the dark disaster the media made them out to be."

"Deceit?" I looked up to see everyone staring at me in shock and I shook my head out of my thought.

"Sorry, I rambled off there a bit. The media is the bane of my existence..." Logic narrowed his eyes and I laughed. "Of course as a Villain, why wouldn't they be?"

"Is that why you lied?"  Inferno whispered as he looked away.

"I don't know what you're..."

"Don't bother. As soon as we got back I told them the truth. I was out of control. And even... even with all that you tried to snap me out of it. It failed and I... I did that to you and you still purposely took the fall." Inferno looked up at me and I could see the flames that always covered his mask start to turn blue. "Why?"

Don't get any idea's in your head there, Firecracker. I had no reason to help you at all. There was nothing in it for me so, just drop it." He just frowned and I rolled my eyes. "In saying it was my fault I laid roots for future plots. I was helping myself. Happy now? Can I be left alone please?" I pushed myself back against the bed frame and Rez frowned getting up to leave.

"I'm... I'm gonna go home. I have to get those..." Logic nodded and Rez left without even finishing. Inferno took one last look at me before following him out the door.

"Tell me the truth. What's the real reason you lied?" I looked up to see Logic coming over to sit on the bed and I frowned. "I know it's not because of what you said."

"And how would you know that? You don't know anything about me." Logic's eyes went wide and I laughed. "You don't even like me. Understandable but still... Don't sit there and act like we're friends. We're not. We're not... We're..." My eyes went wide as Logic pulled me in and kissed me. I pulled away and his eyes went wide.

"I am so sorry... I don't know... Why did I do that?" I got up and moved myself as far from him as I could. "Deceit? Talk to me. Say something. Anything? I just..."

"Can it, Coke a Cola!" I was in shock. Logic just kissed me. I don't... I can't... "What the fuck?!"

"It's not the first time." My eyes went wide again and he just laughed. "Sorry. I know we promised not to talk about it but... It's just... It's come up a lot and I... I don't know. I guess I just..." He sighed and ran a hand through his messy hair. "I don't know."

"No... I don't know. You've clearly got an idea of what's going on. I got nothing." He narrowed his eyes and I took another step back seeing him start to get up. "What do you mean, it's not the first time?"

"That's funny..." His smile dropped and he started to look concerned. "Wait you're being serious? Or are you sticking to the whole, no one talks about it thing?"

"What are you talking about?!" His eyes darkened and he looked away. "I... I don't... I should..."

"So Valentine's day just didn't happen then?" My blood went cold as he got up and moved over towards the kitchen. This really was a weird set up. It looked more like an efficiency studio apartment than a base. "You seriously expect me to believe you..."

"I don't remember jack shit from Valentine's day." His eyes narrowed and I threw my arms out in frustration. "I was drunk off my ass. I remember going to the bar upset and everything and next thing I knew I was waking up in the bathroom on the local Applebee's. I only found out later that I supposedly kidnapped you."

"Come on you really think I'm gonna fall for that?"

"It's the truth! And what about you, you asshole. You tell me you don't like me, then you fucking kiss me. Make up your damn mind!" I started for the door and Logic ran over grabbing my arm.

"You're being serious. You don't remember anything?" I pulled my arm from his grip and opened the door, thankful those two dunderheads left it unlocked. I could see the pain in his eyes and it only pissed me off more.

"Why would I lie about that?" I turned to leave again and Logic tried to stop me. I spun around and slapped him right across the face. He just froze looking so sad.

"Don't... Don't go."

"I have a life, Logic. One that's separate from all this Villainy and chaos. One that I actually want to get back to. I'm leaving and you're going to stay the hell away from me for awhile."
