I stared at myself in the mirror and frowned. Inferno really did a number on me. I was too busy trying to talk him down than to actually fight him. My face and arms were badly burned. My ribs were broken and bruised horribly. It looked ugly. And on top of that, my scales were showing slightly under the burnt skin on my face. I heard my computer ding and I froze. Shit!

"Hey Caz, you up yet... wait where's your face?" I could see the confusion as my profile pic showed up. "Caz?"

"Sorry... I'm not that well today. I look terrible." I laughed causing my ribs to flare up and I had to stop. The worst part of all of this... I can't go to the hospital. If I did, I risk discovery. So suck it up Caz. Fight through the pain... I could see the worried expression on his face and I frowned. "Hey don't... d-don't worry about me, Pat. 'm good. Just gotta stay home and rest is all. Good thing it is Saturday right?"

"Yeah, I guess. Well anyway, Logan and Roman are a bit busy so it's just gonna be us three for now." Virgil's face popped up and I smiled. He looked happy today. I wonder why?

'Hey, guys, did you read the latest entry for DeceptivePanic?' My eyes went wide as Virgil typed away. I hadn't even realized there was another post. 'Apparently, Deceit and Inferno had a fight yesterday."

"What?" Patton looked confused and I sighed.

"DeceptivePanic is this anonymously written blog centered around Deceit. Some person calling themselves Anxiety takes it upon themselves to write every detail whether it's good or bad about what's going on. They're a bit of a neutral party, which is good. They aren't like those backstabbing son of bitch reporters that dramatize everything about anything. Media is the bane of my existence." I saw Virgil's eyes narrow and I smiled. "But this Anxiety is good people. I didn't know you followed them."

'Yeah, I do." I saw Virgil start to smile again and Patton just shook his head confused. He started typing away and I could see the blog pop up in the reflection of his glasses. His frown only grew and I started to get a little worried. Patton didn't seem like the person who would get upset over something like this. That seemed more like Roman. 'Patton?"

"Uh, yes, Kiddo" He snapped himself out of his thoughts and I sighed.

"What did it say this time?" I asked as I saw Virgil starting to type.

"Deceit's plan to hurt Logic foiled by the fiery Inferno... Or was Deceit caught in his wrath?" My blood went cold as everything started to hurt again. This was exactly what I didn't want. "Deceit was seen entering a building yesterday around 4:32. Moments later he was spotted running out on fire. Inferno wasted no time in incapacitating the villain, who in turn put up no fight." Patton's eyes darkened and I could see the anger start to build. "There's even a video."

"WHAT?!" I immediately jumped on the sight and everything just froze. There was a video. Patton wasn't lying about that. It was after I ran back out. They caught everything. How the hell? I DIDN'T EVEN SEE THEM! I always wondered how they got so much information without ever siting that they had a source. How is this possible?

'Uh, guys?"

"Sorry, Virge, got a bit distracted. Why did you bring this up?" I asked and Virgil tensed up a bit.

'I wanted to know if you guys wanted to bring this into the story. I mean, why is it that Deceit is painted the villain when Inferno is clearly the aggressor?' I narrowed my eyes and frowned.

"Because Deceit is the one that stated, he was doing something bad. Had Inferno been the one to say that then there would have been room for doubt. But what did the Villain stand to gain by helping a hero? Especially one that, if you are correct, beat the shit out of him for no reason."

'Simple Deceit isn't..." I saw Virgil jump and I narrowed my eyes. He pressed send before he finished writing it. Patton looked behind him and I could see someone throwing something onto the couch behind him.

"Logan, you're back. Where were you guys?" Patton said as he started to close the call.

"Cleaning up his mess..." The screen went black and I rolled my eyes, tossing my laptop over to the side. I'm gonna have to go over to the league and inform them of what happened, now that the press is gonna be involved. There is no way those leaches are going to ignore what Anxiety posted. I know them far to well to believe that.

I pushed myself up and over to my closet frowning at the burned pile of clothes I left just sitting there filling my room with the scent of smoke and ash. I'm going to need a new costume. Guess that comes first huh... Great, let's get this over with Caz.

"Deceit! You're looking... different." I turned around to see this asshole smiling away like the fucker he is. I really didn't want to run into him. "I'm liking the new..." He gestured to the burned and laughed. "...mask."

"Fuck off, Jax." I started to turn away when he slammed me against the wall causing me to cry out in pain. Great... just great.

"Inferno did quite the number on you, hmm? And you turn around and just let him go?"

"Logic showed up, and I was no way able to fight them both off." He glared at me and felt the world start to shake around us.

"Except you didn't fight at all.  I saw the video. You let that weak spark beat you. Why is that? Did the dangerous snake finally realize he'll never be a good enough villain? Did he finally give up?" I brought my head against his face and he reeled back holding onto his bleeding nose. I held my hand out and moved it out in front of my closing it into a fist. Jax frowned and I watched as these metal pipes reached out and wrapped around his wrists like snakes trapping him in place. I snapped and he was lifted into the air screaming and struggling again the now solidified pipes around his wrists.

"You should learn you place, Jax. I am your superior."
