I looked out at the empty plot of land and I frowned. Why did I even come here? The building has been gone for 6 years. Just because he's back doesn't mean that I'll miraculously have everything just handed over to me to finally put him away! I'm just fooling myself. I bet you he isn't even back. Jax is just toying with me. How'd he even figure out my connection with him? It was 6 years ago. Deceit hadn't even debuted yet. I was just... just...

FIVE FUCKING YEARS! Five years that assholes been gone. Five years since I've even heard that name. He just vanished. And what, I'm just supposed to believe Jax somehow managed to track him down?

It's impossible. I honestly thought he was dead. I thought I killed him. He wasn't moving... he wasn't... The press they said he... they said that I... that I...

"FUCKING SHIT!" I screamed and the ground began to shake and crack around me, threating to pull me under. I felt as someone pulled me out of the way before the ground gave way beneath me.

"Deceit?" I tensed up and groaned. "You ok, there?"

"Seriously? This is my point. You see a villain standing here doing nothing and your response is to ask if they're ok?" I turned around to see a bright pastel blue mask and a soft smile. "What are you doing here, Resonance?"

"Uh... well..." He started to look around awkwardly and I frowned. "Logic he..."

"He saw me on his monitor's and sent you to make sure I wasn't doing anything." He looked down at his feet and I rolled my eyes. "Moron..." Rez flinched and looked up only to freeze having actually looked me over. I narrowed my eyes and he frowned.

"That's a different mask." I shook my head and sighed.

"Yeah, your pal Inferno kinda ruined the other one." Rez reached out towards my burns and I stepped back confused. "What are you doing?"

"You have scales?" He looked genuinely interested and concerned. This is what I mean by him being to soft. He'd sooner make the villain his friend than actually hurt them. "When did that happen?"

"I've always had them. They were just... not visible." I rolled my eyes and started walking off when Rez started to follow. What is up with this guy?

"What are you doing?"

"I'm going home." I watched as Rez walkout in front of my and started to walk backward making me a little worried.

"Why, aren't you going to try to fight me or something?" I stopped short and crossed my arms.

"Why would I do that?" Rez just smiled and stopped too.

"Well, you're a villain and I'm alone. I heard I'm not exactly a hard target, that everyone seems to want. I was just wondering why you never seem to." My arms dropped and I looked away.

"Look Rez..."

"Look what we have here!" I tensed up hearing that voice. "Two losers chatting away like they're best friends." I looked over to see Jax standing there with a big smile on his face. "Deceit, I've been meaning to ask you since... you so rudely hung up on me earlier... Are you really a villain?"

"Deceit?" I held my arm out blocking Rez and Jax just smiled wider.

"Cuz I don't think you are. I mean it would make sense. You never join anyone on any missions. You never hang out with us unless it's at the bar. And you always... ALWAYS make me sick." I scoffed and cracked my knuckles.

"That last one sounds like a real problem you get a doctor to check you out." I started to push Rez out of the way and Jax just laughed.

"Did you know that 6 years ago there was a building here?" I froze up feeling my body start to shake. "Not many do anymore. It's amazing what people can forget."

"Jax..."

"This villain... Bloodborne..." I stumbled back feeling this intense fear just fall over me. Rez grabbed my arm and I took a deep breath. I don't like the Revenants. They're always fighting against me. But... They aren't bad people. They just want to help others, and I'll be damned if I let Jax hurt Rez. "... You see, he set that place ablaze. So many people trapped inside. So many people died. It was legendary. Except... This stupid hero decided to get in his way."

"What's your point, Jax?" Jax smiled again and Rez squeezed my arm for support noticing I was shaking terribly. "That was 6 years ago."

"Yeah, it was... You know that hero only actually physically saved one person that day. He pulled them right out of that building no problems. Of course, being a hero he couldn't just let Bloodborne go, could he? He spent the whole year trying to bring him down. Bloodborne! Just who did this unnamed hero think he was?"

"A hero... obviously. It's what they do?" I took a step back again trying to get Rez as far from Jax as I could.

"Except he just vanished. Right off the face of the earth. Right around the time, you popped up." I looked back to see Rez with this lost look and I frowned. He looked over at me and I smiled looking up at one of the camera's littered around the city. He followed my gaze and nodded. "You just... popped up. Funny that."

"Hey, Jax?" I pulled myself away from Rez and smiled wide. "Plug your ears." He shot me this confused look as I cover my ears and stepped aside revealing Rez ready to attack. He opened his mouth and this blast ripped through the area tearing everything up. I braced myself against the high pitch sound but it still ripped through me and I could feel as my ears started to bleed. I fell back against a car and screamed at the pain from my ribs. Another reason I refused to actually fight. I was in no condition.

"Deceit?!" A pair of arms wrapped around me as everything went dark. "Come on, Rez. We need to get him back to back."
