Tap...Tap...Tap...
I woke up to a tapping sound coming from my window.
Oh wow, you're still in your clothes from yesterday.
I put my hand on my forehead.
God, I have a terrible headache.Tap...Tap...Tap...
I looked around my room, searching for the source of the tapping noise.
I got out of bed and headed to my window. This window is always hard to open, so it took me a minute before I finally got it open.
Why is it so dark outside?
I checked my phone.
It's only five...Or is it?
My palms started to sweat.
I know what this is...I looked back out the window, and saw a girl.
She was about 14, maybe younger, with clothes that were rags.
She looked up at me and said something I couldn't hear. She wants your help.
I shook my head, "I can't hear you!"
I said. She frowned and put up one of her hands.
You can't help her...
I put my hands on the windowsill, and looked at the sky.
Is there a storm coming...?Splat.
A drop of rain, dropped onto my face.
I went to wipe it away, off of the bridge of my nose.
This isn't rain...It's blood.
I stumbled backwards and fell on my back.
"W-what the fuck?"
I scrambled to get back up.
This cannot be real...Juniper...
I closed my eyes.
This isn't real, I have control, I can make it stop...I opened my eyes back up to darkness.
Juniper...You know I'm the one who really has control...
"Gah!!"
I shot up in my bed.
"That was... A dream?"
I looked at myself in the mirror across the room.It wasn't exactly my reflection.
Hello...
It was her's.
I raised a hand, seeing if she'd copy my moves.
She didn't move, and just stared at me with those gray eyes, so much like my own.Ding
Ding
DingI picked up my phone and proceeded to ignore my reflection.
But it's not that easy.
It's never easy.
