I walked into my old bedroom, seeing that it was untouched from when I left it. I sat down on my bed, it still unmade and messy from the last time I slept in it.
I heard clattering and clanging from the kitchen, and then a large crash.
"Ethe...?"
I got up from my bed and walked down the hall to see Ethe having trouble with the pots and pans, all of them scattered across the kitchen floor.
"I'm sorry Juniper, I dropped them..."
She was looking at me with a face of both fear and amusement, like she didn't know what she was feeling.
I shook my head.

I don't care anymore.
"It's fine." I picked up two pans and placed them on the counter.

"Cristin is coming soon..."

I turned to face her.
"Cristin..."
She wrung her hands, confused.
"Yeah...she wanted to see you."

I frowned. "Then why didn't she see me when I was in the hospital...?"

She hesitated. "I don't know..."
She went back to the pans and started cooking. "I'm making you a welcome home meal."

Oh. I guess she really does like you. Or she's just trying to get on your good side...

I flinched. "W-what..."

Ethe's head snapped up from the pan she was buttering.

"Are you ok...?"

"We're fine."

"What?"

"I'm fine." I walked out of the kitchen and slammed my bedroom door.

I can't...
