I kept feeling bumps in the road. They wouldn't let me drive myself home, so they had someone else do it. The woman was about 45, but looked as if she could be in her early 30's.
She's pretty young lookin for her age, huh?
I guess...
I shook my head. "Why wouldn't they let me drive myself home? What's the point of my dad getting me a car if I can't drive it?" The woman looked at me from the rear-view mirror.
"There has been...accidents...we don't want that happening again, especially since you're Dr. Dentin's daughter." I could see how afraid she was, the fear in her eyes was immense.Hm...strange...she seems afraid of you...after what you did to yourself, what type of stuff could you do to someone else?
I shuddered in my seat, tugging at my seatbelt.
You did that to me, I had no control.
Scenes of what happened played through my head, and I covered my face so that the woman couldn't see it on my face. These flashbacks...have been getting worse and worse.Don't try and run, sweetheart. There's no point.
You think I don't no that there's no point in running away? There was no point in living!
The woman looked at me through the rear-view mirror again."Did you say something, Juniper...?" Her eyes were scanning me, wide and fearful.
"No, I didn't. But I actually have a question-"
"Oh, I forgot to tell you, we arranged for someone to stay at your apartment with you. Ya know..."
She trailed off.
"So what happened won't happened won't happen again...?" I finished for her.
She nodded, smiling. "See, you're already adjusting..."
I put on a low voice, simply just to scare her. Why not poke fun, I needed a laugh.
"What makes you think they're going to be able to stop me? What if I just hurt them instead...?" Her face blanched. "Uh..." She ran her hands over her steering wheel, not knowing what to do.
I looked back out the window, waiting to arrive at my apartment.
