Recap: Somehow you had managed to get to six months without anyone knowing about your relationship with Dallas. Then Two-bit walked in on you and essentially right after that Sodapop had overheard a bit of the conversation and found out about the two of you dating. He was okay with Dallas dating his younger sister and said he would talk to Dallas.

It had been a week since Sodapop found out. He hadn't told Darry about it and you weren't sure whether to be grateful or fearful. Part of you wanted the whole ordeal to be dealt with but the other felt like it would end terribly as soon as he found out. Darry was an over-protective brother. He didn't want you dating at all, let alone with Dallas. Dally was a bad-boy type. He smoked, drank, partied, and took part in many illegal things. Dal was in and out of jail all the time. Darry wanted the best for you and you knew he would disapprove. Sodapop was easier with those types of things. With Soda he believed in true love and didn't care about the technicalities nearly as much. As long as you were happy he didn't care. You weren't sure how Ponyboy would react. He wanted the best for you but at the same time he wanted you to be happy and if Dallas made you happy he would most likely be satisfied. Honestly, you had no clue how he would react. Everyone would probably be more upset at the fact that you hid the relationship from them for six months already.

"You haven't touched your food. What's wrong?" Dallas asked. It dragged you out of your thoughts. You stared at the fries in front of you, you'd forgotten about them. Hell, you forgot you were on a date with him.

"I'm just thinking about how Darry and Pony will react." You answer, taking a bite out of a fry.

Dally nodded. "Ah." He took a sip of his drink. "It will end up alright. Eventually they'll accept it, right? They can't go their whole lives being mad. If they even do get mad. Sodapop was cool with things and so was Two-bit, Pony should be the same way. I can't really say about Darry but I'm sure it will be fine with time."

"I guess you're right. I just wish I wouldn't have to worry about it so much. Maybe we should go and tell them. If they hear it from us it will lessen the trouble." You suggest as you play with the straw of your drink.

Dallas lightly held your face and gave you a kiss. "Alright, we'll do it tomorrow. I'll love and take care of you no matter what happens or what you're brothers say. Don't worry and don't let it get you down. You deserve to be happy, Y/n." He gave you another kiss.

"Thank you for supporting me, Dallas. I love you."

"I love you too, Babe." Dally gave you a smile.

Today was the day. You pumped yourself up in the mirror. "You can do it, Y/n." Taking in a deep breath you affirm yourself again. "Everything will end up okay." You laugh a little, it seemed ridiculous to do this but it helped and that's what mattered.

Dallas said he would be at your house for ten that morning. Looking at the clock on the wall you notice it was time. You went downstairs and waited on the couch, running over all the possible scenarios in your head. Best case all the way to worst case. Dally walked in and sat down beside you. You called the boys into the living room. They emerged from all parts of the house. "I have something important to tell you guys."

Darry gave you a worried look when he saw the grave expression on your face with Dallas beside you. He crossed his arms. Ponyboy looked like he walked into the wrong room at school. Soda had a knowing look on his face. "Go ahead." Sodapop offered.

"I am dating Dally." You announce.

Darry breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh my god, I thought you were gonna say you're pregnant with Dally's kid... Wait. You two are dating? For how long? Why are you not looking me in the eyes Soda? Did you know about this?" He turned to Pony to ask the last question. Pony was shaking his head and about to answer but you cut him off.

"We've been dating for six months, Sod-"

"Six months?! Six months and I didn't know?!" Darry exclaimed.

"Will you stop talking so I can explain?" You fume. "Soda found out recently and Pony doesn't know. Two-bit found out the same time as Soda but no one else knows."

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Darry questioned angrily.

"I knew you'd get upset and I didn't want that but I really care about Dallas. It's about time you knew because it's serious. It wasn't serious when we first started but now it is." You respond.

"Well of course I'd be upset! He is a bad influence and not the type you deserve." Darry expressed his concerns, you were about to argue but Dallas spoke.

"I don't plan on hurting Y/n in anyway, Darry. I know it's a lot to find out at once and I know I'm not the best person and Y/n deserves better but I couldn't help falling in love with her, okay?" There was a moment of silence. Dally didn't bring up his emotions often, if ever. It showed just how serious he was about you and Darry saw that. "I care about Y/n more than I care about myself and I couldn't imagine life without her."

Silence broke out again. Ponyboy spoke up, having been silent the whole time. "If it's any consolation I am okay with it."

"I am too." Soda added. "As long as you're happy, right?"

The air was so tense you could cut it with a knife. Everyone was waiting on Darry's response. Darry seemed to think everything over before he spoke again. "Alright." You broke out into a big smile and kissed Dallas on the cheek. "But you better not break her heart." Darry finished.

"Believe me, I won't." Dally grinned.

"And don't get her pregnant." Darry ordered sternly.

     "I won't." Dallas replied.

     "And-"

"Darry will you leave them alone?" Soda interupted. "Let them revel in the happy moment." He laughed.

Darry rolled his eyes a little but stopped and went to the kitchen.

"You were right. Everything did turn out okay." You say to Dallas.

"I told you so." He smirked.
