Chapter Thirty-two

When I woke up I was tucked into my bed though I still had on Mrs. Weasley's large sweater and my leggings. I noticed my sleeping bag had been opened and tucked around me under the rest of the blankets keeping me perfectly warm. I sighed as I remembered my revilation and breakdown last night as well as Snape picking me up. I got up and got all the stuff I needed to get ready for the day and went to the bathroom.

Once I was done I changed into my beautiful school robes and put on the red cloak Hermione had given me. The two pieces of clothing looked beautiful together at least from what I could see since there were no mirrors in my room. I quickly left and went down to the infirmary to visit Hermione to see if she was ok and maybe to scold her if Mrs. Pomfrey wasn't there.

When I got there unfortunately Mrs. Pomfrey was there so I just thanked Hermione for the cloak and gave her a look I hoped she understood. after making sure she would be ok I left and went to find the boys. They had a lecture coming their way though I was wondering whether I should just ignore it. It seemed every time I confronted them about their doing something wrong it would just make them hate me more.

I sighed and brushed the thoughts away, someone had to confront them about their breaking the rules. If I had to be the bad guy, I would be the bad guy. I finally found them in the common room alone and said "boys we need to talk." they both sighed lightly and shared a look, they knew they were in trouble they just weren't sure what for. I held up the book with the recipe for polyjuice potion in it and asked "do either of you happen to recognize this?" they both shook their heads no but I wasn't so sure that was the truth.

I opened the book to the page with the recipe on it and asked "oh really, then perhaps you recognize this recipe for poly juice potion?" they both began to sweat but still shook their heads no. I glared at them as I said "there's no use denying it, I realize why you set off that firework in snapes class now. You stole the ingredients from him, you probably knocked out crabbe and goyle so they wouldn't interrupt and you tried to get Draco to admit he's the heir of slytherin. You were there last night as I screamed at Draco and that's why you were so nice to me.

"I knew something wasn't right the moment you started acting like I was anything but a nuisance. I should know better then to trust you anymore, you're always doing stupid dangerous stuff like this and it's driving me insane harry! Do you understand how much I worry for you?! How much I sacrifice for you!? I cried myself to sleep last night from all the stress you cause me! DO YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENED TO HERMIONE? DO YOU SEE WHAT CAN GO BAD IF YOU GET EVEN ONE INGREDIENT WRONG! YOU JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND HARRY AND I DON'T THINK YOU EVER WILL! Why can't you just think about the consequences your actions could have?"

I sighed at the end of my lecture and without giving the boys time to answer I left the common room. I ran into George and Fred in the hallway and remembered I had neglected to spend the Christmas feast with them despite promising to. I sighed again and said "hello George, Fred I'm really sorry about missing the feast. I've been a bit stressed out lately." fred quickly grabbed me in a hug and swung me in a circle. I chuckled and said "alright put down the heir of slytherin. You're pissing off Levi." said snake hissed angrily under my cloak and fred finally set me down as he said "sorry oh great heir! But in order to make up for missing the feast you have to help us develop some of our products." i nodded and said "sure sounds fun."

They looked very excited as George said "then meet us tonight in the commons room!" he then proceeded to drag fred away, for what reason I didn't know but I didn't think I would want to know either. I smiled, feeling slightly better and continued on my way. I needed a break and the best place for that was with Hagrid in the forbidden forest. Levi's voice came from under my cloak as he said "those humans are more annoying than the others." I chuckled and said "You just dislike them more than the others because they are loud and they pick me up a lot which disturbs your napping." he made no sound of disagreement which just amused me more.

I rolled my eyes and said "I'm going to spend some time with Hagrid and probably go into the forest do you want to come with me or do you want to go to my room and finish napping?" it was quiet for a second and then Levi said "I will go to your room." I nodded and said "alright I'll enchant you so you won't freeze just make sure you get to my room in time." I picked him up and did a quick enchantment to keep him warm before setting him on the stone floor. His small head bobbed and he said "I will, be safe human." I smiled and nodded again before beginning to make my way to hagrids hut. 

on my way there i met with a blond girl that didn't have any shoes on. The sight of her made me curious so i stopped in the hall and asked "where are your shoes?" she looked over at me and smiled as she said "i believe they're hanging from one of the third floor corridors. why do you ask?" i frowned a bit at that information and said "it is quite unusual to see anyone walking in this cold without shoes. why are your shoes in the third floor corridor?" the girl seemed to think for a moment and said "well i believe someone took them as a practical joke."

annoyance bubbled up in my chest as i said "that sounds quite cruel, could you show me where your shoes are exactly and who put them there if you know?" the girl nodded and said "certainly, but why?" i didn't think it was important enough to lie so i simply told the truth "i'd like to get you your shoes back before your toes fall off from frostbite. i'd also like to teach whoever took your shoes what a proper joke is." she nodded and said "alright, follow me."

she led me to one of the last corridors on the third floor and pointed up. my eyes followed where she was pointing and my frown deepened as i saw some cute white shoes hanging from one of the rafters. i could have used magic to get them down but at the moment i wanted physical exertion so instead i crouched low below the shoes and jumped as high as i could. i grabbed onto the rafter and holding onto it with one hand i used the other to grab the shoes. i untangled them from their spot before dropping down to the ground.

the girl was watching me with intrigue as i held the shoes out to her and said "here you are..." i realized i had neglected to ask the girls name and continued "i'm sorry i forgot to ask your name." the girl smiled taking the shoes and said "i'm luna lovegood and you're Canis Potter. it's nice to finally meet you." i nodded in agreement and said "wonderful to meet you as well miss lovegood. Now who was it that took your shoes?" she looked up at me for a second before saying "Pansy Parkinson." I nodded and said "Well then I'll be on my way. Perhaps I'll see you around some time miss lovegood." i waved to her as I began to walk away, she called out "indeed, perhaps we'll cross paths in the forbidden forest?" I nodded but didn't turn back. It seemed I had something other then visiting the forest to do today.
