chapter eleven

(sorry this is a little late but I will be posting two chapters on Halloween so I hope that makes up for it. Also don't forget to vote and comment it really does give me more motivation to keep updating. Thank you and I was wondering if anyone was going to be dressing up for Halloween this year?)

I was bored and lonely since nobody had visited me. I had finally realized the girls had taken the snake I'd gotten for Christmas and I wanted to find them and get it back I was just waiting for madam pomfrey to go to sleep so I could leave. I may have let the girls beat me up but that was before I knew they had taken something from me.

As soon as Madame pomfrey left me alone I snuck out of the sick Ward after all I wasn't going to bother one of the teachers. I wanted to get it back on my own and what better time then at night when I could move around unseen more easily. I thought about what the three girls looked like and remembered they were all wearing ravenclaw colors. I was usually wandering around the Halls in my free time and nobody ever noticed me so i knew a lot of stuff I probably shouldn't including where all the common rooms were and how to get into them.

The Halls were still slightly lit as I quickly made my way past Snape and Quirrell, I didn't stop to see what Snape was threatening, so intent on the task at hand that I didn't even notice my wand vibrating signaling that Harry was nearby. I really was getting less and less alert the longer I was at Hogwarts.

When I finally got to the ravenclaw common room entrance I grabbed the eagle knocker and knocked on the door before stepping back as the eagle said "We hurt without moving. We poison without touching. We bear the truth and the lies. We are not to be judged by our size. What are we?" It didn't take me more then a second before I knew the answer "words." The door swung open and I walked inside.

It must have been my lucky day because the girls were sitting by a fire in the common room. I walked up to them as the door closed behind me and said "you have something of mine and I want it back." They turned around towards me and sneered. one of them, the one that seemed to be the leader said "what your dignity?" I was annoyed and angry and all I wanted to do was hex them so badly nobody would recognize them but I held back and said "don't play dumb, you know what you stole." I lifted my right hand causing them to rise into the air as I continued "and if you don't give it back you will spend the rest of the holiday trapped in a bubble, covered in boils and spitting up slugs." I watched as their eyes filled with fear and one of the girls shakily said "you're such a freak! why do you even want the snake? Your a Gryffindor not a Slytherin."

I sneered at the girls, they had taken the gift I cherished the most and it was taking everything in me to not torture them on the spot. I held out my left hand and with a forced sense of calm said "because it was the first gift I've ever gotten, now be good and give it back or I'll be forced to take drastic measures." One of the girls took the glowing snake from her pocket and I moved her closer so she could drop it into my hand. I snapped my fingers causing them to crash onto the floor as I held the snake lovingly to my chest. I glared back at the girls As I moved to leave and said "take something from me again and I'll make Voldemort look like a kitten." Before walking out of the common room not caring if I was seen.

I smiled as the snakes eyes dimmed and it unfurled, I whispered "I'm glad to have you back. necklace please." It quickly slithered up my arm and around my neck I was happy to have it back, I'd only had it a day but it was still the most precious thing I owned and the magical power it radiated was comforting.

The next morning I was release from the sick Ward. At breakfast i noticed Harry wasn't eating and it worried me, I even tried to blackmail him but it didn't work so I ended up missing breakfast to harmione and nearly headless Nick's dismay, though I hadn't really been eating much lately anyway.
