Our Future

chapter 1

Elena's POV
    I wake up to feel Stefan's arm wrapped around my waist. I look up, and I smile at the sight of him sleeping. I quickly roll over so that I'm laying on top of him. He opens his eyes in slight shock. He takes everything in and looks down at me with a smile.

Stefan:"Well good morning to you too."

I giggle, and lean upwards giving him a kiss.

Elena:"We should get ready for school. Oh and remind me before we leave to call Jenna. I don't think she's going to be thrilled that I stayed the night knowing I had school tomorrow, but she might be glad to know that I'm alive."

Stefan laughed at my comment. We hesitantly got out of bed and got ready for school. Once we got in the car Stefan reminded me to call Jenna.

Jenna:"Elena, are you okay? Please tell me your safe and with Stefan."

Elena:"Yes, I'm with Stefan. We fell asleep doing some homework, so I just stayed at his place."

She let out a sigh of relief.

Jenna:"Okay, as long as your with Stefan I'm fine with it. I know you're always safe with him, but next time just send me a text or something."

Elena:"Alright. We just got to school. I'll see you later."

I hung up the phone and got out of the car. Stefan and I walked hand in hand to our first period with Ric.

—After School—
    It's been such a long week, and I just couldn't wait to get home. Stefan and I made our way out to the parking lot to his car. When we got to my house we headed straight for my room because I just wanted to relax in the arms of my boyfriend. We laid down on my bed. My head and hand on his chest, and his hand on my lower back.

Elena:"This week has been to much."

Stefan exhaled a chuckle.

Stefan:"At least we are living a normal life now. No tomb vampires or Katherine to worry about."

Elena:"True."

I laughed. I looked up at him and gave him a kiss.

Stefan:"What if we go away for the weekend?"

Elena:"Really?"

I grew a big smile because a weekend get away with Stefan was exactly what I needed.

Stefan:"Yeah. Any ideas on where you want to go."

Elena:"We could always go back to the lake house. It's quiet, peaceful, and best of all it would only be me and you."

Stefan:"I like the sound of that."

I giggled and leaned upwards to give him another kiss, but it was short lived as Jenna had called Jeremy and I downstairs.

Jenna:"Lena, Jeremy can you come down here for a second?!"

I turned back to Stefan.

Elena:"Shoot. I'll be back in a sec."

I went downstairs, and I saw Jenna and Alaric sitting on the couch holding hands.

Elena:"Hey Ric."

Jeremy:"What's up?"

Jenna:"Well we wanted to talk to the both of you before we made any decisions."

Elena:"What do you mean?"

Alaric:"Well Jenna and I are in a great place in our relationship and well...."

Jenna:"We want to move in together, but since I'm your guardian that means Ric would have to move in here. We just wanted to ask you guys if you were okay with it."
