Stefan's POV
-At home-
When we got home, Lexi headed upstairs to her room for a couple minutes and then came back down with a book. She sat at the kitchen table and started to read as per usual. On my way out of the kitchen I kiss the top of her head and she smiles up at me. When I reach the living room, I see Damon and Bonnie sitting on the couch whilst Elena is sitting across from them on the other couch. I go over and sit next to Elena. As I keyed into the conversation I realized they were talking about how we were going to explain everything to Lexi.

Damon:"So, who's going to say what exactly."

Elena:"Well we were thinking, Bonnie could start out with her magic, and then you, Stefan, and I explain the basics of vampirism."

Stefan:"I don't think we should go into depth about our starts to vampirism until she goes through it a little more."

Damon:"I think so too. I don't want to scare her."

I heard Elena sigh from the stress of it all. I place a small kiss against her temple in order to help calm her.

Elena:"I think she's going to start getting suspicious if we don't start on dinner."

We all laughed softly.

Bonnie:"Why don't we invite everyone over for dinner. Maybe having everyone she loves around will help calm her a bit."

Stefan:"Good idea."

Damon called everyone and invited them over for dinner. Afterwards we all headed into the kitchen to start dinner. By the time the four of us walked into the kitchen Lexi was finishing up her reading.

Lexi:"Can I help with dinner?"

Damon:"Of course you can munchkin."

He said whilst tickling her. She burst into a fit of giggles. Damon helped her up onto the island in the kitchen and placed a bowl in front of her.

Damon:"Why don't you help me mix the potato salad?"

Lexi:"Okay!"

He prepared everything for her and put it in the bowl for her to mix. In the mean time Bonnie, Elena, and I made pasta, steaks, and aside some vegetables.

-After dinner-
When we all finished dinner we headed into the living room. Lexi squealed as Jeremy carried her in on his back and spun her around. We all laugh along, but once the laughter dies down a bit Elena and I both call Lexi over and sit her in-between us on the couch. She sighs happily, but then looks up confused at everyone's serious facial expressions. She turns to Elena and lowers her voice.

Lexi:"Mommy why is everyone so serious?"

Elena:"Well we just want to talk to you about some things that have been happening lately."

Lexi:"Am I in trouble?"

Stefan:"Of course not princess. We just want to know how you've been feeling lately."

I told her as I stroked her hair some. Lexi gave me a confused look, but Bonnie soon jumped in seeing as neither Elena nor I were quite sure how to explain her magic to her without scaring her. She squatted in front of Lexi and placed her hands on her knees.

Bonnie:"What your Mom and Dad mean is; have you had any random things happen around you?"

Lexi looked at everyone very confused and worried.

Bonnie:"Here what if I show you two fun tricks and you tell me if you have ever seen them before. Okay?"

Lexi:"Okay."

Bonnie only did small things like draw energy from the lights and light a candle, in order to not scare Lexi.

Lexi:"Why does that happen? It only happens around me when I'm really happy or excited."

I look over at Elena, and we both share a small smile.

Bonnie:"It's called magic. You little lady have powers."

Lexi:"Powers! Like a wizard."

We all laughed as her eyes widened in excitement.

Bonnie:"Well not exactly. You are a witch."

The excitement in her eyes disappeared and was replaced with fear. She squealed, grabbed Elena's hand tightly, wrapped her arm around my bicep, and hid her head into the space between the couch and the back of my arm.

Lexi:"I don't want to be a witch."

Her voice was small and muffled. We all smiled at the fact that she was afraid of being a witch. She didn't understand what it meant. Bonnie placed her hand gently on Lexi's knee and gave it a small squeeze.

Bonnie:"But you are a good witch."

Lexi:"I am?"

Her head kept its place behind my arm for a couple seconds, but she eventually made herself visible again.

Bonnie:"You very much are. You see I'm a witch too, but I'm good just like you."

Lexi:"Is everyone else witches too?!"

We all laughed softly at her excitement, once more.

Bonnie:"Nope. Just you and I."

Lexi:"Wow!"

We figured since she was a little happier in this moment that Elena and I, along with everyone else, could get into the entire vampire thing. Bonnie gave Lexi a hug and sat back at Damon's side.

Lexi:"Mommy can I practice my magic with Aunt Bonnie sometime."

Elena:"Of course, but first we want to know how you've been feeling aside from the magic."

I felt a tap on my arm and looked over to see Damon. He leaned closer and lowered his voice to a whisper so that Lexi wouldn't hear.

Damon:"I think we should get the blood. I'll bring it out as if it's just a normal drink for me, and if she can smell it and asks for some-like last time-then we can carry on from there."

Stefan:"Okay, but just a little bit. We don't know how she'll react to it."

He gave me a simple nod, and went into the basement. Luckily Lexi was still focused on Elena, so she hadn't noticed Damon slipping out of the room, but everyone else had. Less than five minutes later Damon had come back with a canteen, and the conversation between Elena and Lexi had come to a stop. Meaning it was time to tell her everything.
