P.o.v. Sophia

"What?" I asked

"You just said my name and that you were talking to me. I hoped we could do this a little bit more subtle." he said angrily. "Oh really? Maybe you should've been a little more subtle with 'she is a nobody' and then I wouldn't be sad and have to tell my friends" I answered angrily. "I'm sorry. It's just ..." he continued but I stopped him. "This is not working, Shawn" I responded with a sigh. I turned around and left.

I walked back towards my friends. "Hi guys" I said. "Is everything okay?" Sara asked. I nodded. I'm done with people asking me if I'm okay. I'm not and you know it but just stop fucking asking me this. "Someone is on her monthly period" Dora said. I sighed but just ignored it.

Sara took my hand and took me to the dance floor. We had fun for a while until James came towards me. "Sara" I whispered/yelled to be louder than the music. "It's okay. I'm here" she said but we both knew that we weren't strong enough.

He came closer. Every step of him made me angrier. When he stood in front of me I lost controle. I started yelling, hitting and pushing him until someone grabbed me from behind.

"Let go of me, fucking asshole" I yelled. We were outside and all of a sudden I started to cry. I'm a mess. I'm an emotional wreck. Shawn who stood next to me hugged me and didn't let me go. It was sweet of him. I was still angry with him but I just needed this. I just needed somebody.

We didn't talk. We just stood there and held each other. He didn't ask anything. We could here the music.

My anger had disappeared and I was surprisingly calm. "Do you wanna go home?" he asked. I looked at him and nodded. I was exhausted.

We didn't talk during the car ride. Shawn was focusing on the way and I was staring outside my window. I thought about everything that had happened tonight. It was crazy.

You probably are wondering why I didn't drive my own car? Well good question. I'll explain. In Shawn's eyes I was emotionally unstable to drive so he took my car keys and now we're here. End of story.

"Soph? We're here" he said calmly. I opened my eyes and looked outside. Yeah, that's my house. I looked at Shawn again. "Thank you" I said quietly. He smiled. "You're welcome" he answered.

I took my stuff and was ready to open my car but I hesitated. "Do you uh maybe want to come in?" I asked. I don't know what I was doing but he save me tonight, twice. This was the least I could do.

"Uhm yeah if you want to?" he asked unsure. I nodded. He parked the car and we entered my house. "Nice house" he said. "Do you want to drink something?" I asked him. "Maybe some cola?" he responded. I smiled and nodded. I took a glass and filled it.

"So uh how did you actually find me?" I asked curious. Shawn started to explain everything. Did he do all of this just because of me? I could see that he was nervous and to be honest I felt just the same. But at least we were making progress, I didn't shout at him.

"Can I ask you something?" Shawn asked. I looked at him and nodded. "Who was that James guy?" he asked curiously. I sighed deeply and started to explain. "He's a friend of my ex. He told me yesterday that he was in love with me. Then he tried to choke me and today he tried to rape me. And that's just the short version" I explained.

Shawn listened to every single word I said. He was patient and caring. He didn't want me to be sad. He came all this way just for me.

Maybe he is a good guy?

"It's almost midnight" Shawn whispered. I was laying on his chest and it was quite comfortable. "Let's go watch the firework" I suggested.

We stood up and walked towards the streets. There weren't driving any cars so we just stood there waiting for the firework.

"Do you got plans tonight?

I looked at him. "That was beautiful" I said. He smiled a little. "I wrote this when I was thinking of you" he explained. I started to blush. "Ah wow uh that's very sweet of you" I answered not knowing what to say. Shawn started to laugh a little.

We looked at each other. I forgot how beautiful his eyes were/are. "Why are you doing this" I whispered. "Because you are special" he explained. It was quiet for sometime until he started to speak again. "And because I love you, Soph" he said.

He placed his hands on my hips and I placed my hands on his shoulders. We started to slow. There wasn't any music but it felt great.

I stared at him. I looked at his lips. Is there something about him that isn't perfect, I asked myself. He licked his lips and came closer. He stood now right next to me so I could feel his warmth.

He looked at my lips and his head came closer and closer. He was only a few inches away from me. I was paralyzed. I didn't know what to do. And then he kissed me.

His lips were soft and damn he is a great kisser. When we were out of breath we let go of each other. "Wow" Shawn said. I couldn't stop smiling.

We could hear the firework and it got me out of my trance. He embraced me and we watched the firework, together.
