Titanic 2: Electric Boogaloo

Chapter 4

The sub light grazed over the wreck of the legendary ship Titanic, searching for any lost treasures, especially the Heart of the Sea. Jack stared at the ruins, a great wave of emotions sweeping over him. The days before the sinking had been some of the happiest of his life, but they had also been his last. And now he was in an unfamiliar world over one hundred years later. He wished he could go back, and stop Titanic from sinking at all and be with Rose in that time. To be fair, he did get to do that, but in another life. But this was different. Now he was alive again, in a dramatically different world, gazing at the wreck that essentially killed him. A tear ran down his face. David placed a shoulder on his hand. "I get that this may be hard for you, Jack," he said, "Do you want us to drop you back off on the Akademik?" "No, I'm fine," said Jack, "Thanks. Just...you know, memories."

They came around to the front of Titanic. Jack pointed to the bow. "Right there," he said, "Rose and I stood right at that edge, and I held her up higher and the view we got was amazing. That, and the sunset, and the breeze blowing by, it was absolutely beautiful. What I wouldn't give to—" Jack got choked up again. Finally, he broke down crying. "I'm sorry!" he exclaimed through tears. "It's just...I'm in am unfamiliar world and I don't know what to do! All these weird machines everywhere and everything and just seeing Titanic again makes me want to go back to those days!" "We get it, Jack," said David, "We'll help you adjust to the modern world."

"Hey I hate to break up the party," said Lewis, "but David, I just got off the phone and your plane's arrived to take you and Jack to Japan for your tour where you talk about how you found Jack and he talks about his experiences on the Titanic." "Oh right!" exclaimed David. He turned to Jack. "Are you up for it Jack? You don't have to come if you don't want to. I know that this whole thing has been hard on you." "No it's fine," said Jack. "I do kinda wanna see the world a little. See what else has changed." "Fair enough," said David, "Let's go." The sub headed back up to the surface, leaving Titanic alone for now.
