Chapter 12

Jack, Jay and Silent Bob stood on the doorstep of the house. The evening breeze chilled Jack. "So, this friend of yours—" Jack started, "Don't worry man," said Jay, "I'm sure he'll let us stay the night at least. He's cool like that." Jay knocked on the door. A minute later, a young looking man with dark hair and glasses answered it. "Jay?" he said, "Silent Bob? I thought you guys were in Tokyo. What the hell are you guys wearing? And who's that?" "Oh this is our new bro Jack," said Jay. "Yo Jack this is our buddy Connor." "Hi," said Jack, shaking Connor's hand. "Well, come in, I guess," said Connor. Jack, Jay and Silent Bob walked in.

When they walked in, there was a woman with her hair in an interesting style standing by Connor. She was carrying a little girl. "What's going on?" the woman asked. She had a British accent. "Yo Rey, this is Jack. Jack, this Connor's wife, Rey." "Hi," said Jack. "Guys," said Connor, "What's going on?" "Long story," said Jay. "You got a minute?" "Yeah," said Connor. "Leia," he said to the little girl, whom Jack could only assume was Connor's daughter, "Why don't you show Silent Bob some of your toys?" Silent Bob nodded in agreement. "Okay," said Leia. Silent Bob followed her out of the room.

"So first off," said Jay, "You remember a little while ago when they found that guy in the ice at the Titanic wreck?" "Yeah," said Connor. "Well you're looking at him," said Jay, pointing to Jack. Connor and Rey looked surprised. "Really?" said Connor, "You're—" "Yes I am," said Jack. "After the research team found me, David Lovett and I headed to Tokyo to talk about our experiences. At some point I got lost and Jay and Silent Bob found me." "And that's when shit got real!" said Jay, "After we got haunted by the ghost of Stan Lee again, we saw a big fuckin' explosion! It was a Yakuza hit, and they were taking out witnesses! That's when we got chased by them. We actually got caught!" "We escaped," said Jack, "But they've been on our tail ever since." "And you're sure no one followed you here?" asked Rey. "Yeah we're sure," said Jay. "But we can't go back home yet, and Holly and Luis can't fuckin' know we're here. Can we crash here for a bit?"

Connor and Rey looked at each other. They didn't say a word for a minute. Then finally, Connor spoke up. "Of course," he said, "Mi casa es su casa." "Aw snootch yeah!" said Jay, "Thanks guys! You won't regret this!"

"Alright," said Rey, "I better get going now. I'm going to be late," "Aw where ya goin'?" asked Jay, "Girls night," said Rey as she started to head out the door. "Alright, bye babe," said Connor, "Have fun!" "Thanks" said Rey, "I'll be back later tonight!" she headed out, closing the door behind her. "Man," said Jay, "That's exactly what my dad said right before he went to buy cigarettes. And he still hasn't fuckin' come home!"
