John's POV
"You know that I love you, right?" I said to Freddie. We had just dropped off Roger and Brian from the hospital. Freddie was eating at the kitchen island and I was sitting not too far away from him.

"Of course I know. And I love you too" he said. I got up from my seat and walked over to Freddie. He was eating cereal even though it was nearly 8pm. He chewed slowly, making his jawline ever so accentuated. He looked up at me from his bowl. A goofy smile adorned his face.

"Why are you so loving tonight?" He asked.

I kissed his cheek and laid my head on his shoulder. "I just want you to know that I love you. And that I'll always love you no matter what" I said. I was a bit scared from Roger and Brian's accident. I wouldn't be able to live if Freddie had gotten hurt and he didn't know how much I loved him.

"I will always love you too" he kissed me softly. I could taste the cornflakes on his mouth. As weird as it sounds, I didn't mind it.

"So what should we do tomorrow?" I asked. "We definitely need to start recording. We haven't actually done any work in so long and the deadlines are closer than I thought" he said.

We did need to get a move on things. We needed to release, A Day At The Races, so we could get ready for touring soon. I didn't miss touring that much. The only good part is seeing all the new cities... and hotel rooms with Freddie.

"Yeah, I have a song to propose. I know it's late, but I really wanted to show it to you" I said. Freddie perked up. He was always interested in my writing, even if it was awful.

"What's it called?" He leaned close to me. He rolled his head around my shoulder like he was a cat purring up to me. I giggled at his motions. "Well", I laughed, "it's called You And I."

"That's very creative" he said sarcastically. "Oh shut up" I joked. "Well then, where are the words?" He asked. I got up and went to the bedroom. I fished my notebook out from the nightstand drawer. I wrote down a lot of my dreams or feelings or song ideas in this little book. Sometimes just sentences that I thought were cool.

"Right here" I said, holding up the book. Freddie rested his head in his hand and looked at me dreamily, waiting for me to speak. I cleared my throat and claimed the words on the papers.

Music is playing in the darkness
And a lantern goes swinging by
Shadows flickering, my hearts jittering
Just you and I
No tonight come tomorrow
When everything's sunny and bright (sunny and bright)
No no no come tomorrow then 'cause then
We'll be waiting in the moonlight

We'll go walking in the moonlight
Walking in the moonlight
Laughed ringing in the darkness
People drinking for days gone by
Time don't mean a thing
When you're by my side
Please stay a while

You know I never could foresee the future
You know I never could see
Where life was leading me
But we will be together forever
What will be my love
Can't you see that I just don't know

No not tonight not tomorrow
Everything's gonna be alright (sunny and bright)
Wait and see if tomorrow we'll be
Just as happy as we're feeling tonight
We'll go walking in the moonlight (we'll be happy)
Walking in the moonlight

I can hear the music in the darkness
Floating softly to where we lie
No more questions now
Let's enjoy tonight
(Just you and I)
Just you and I
Just you and I
Can't you see that we've got to be together
Be together just you and I just you and I
No more questions just you and I
