The Serpent Princess

Fred gets hurt.

Jessica has been so happy to be back with her God Dad and truly embrace Archie in her life even though he a little confused to accept this now that she in the picture. She hugged Fred as she gets on her special bus since she needs to get to tutoring for Math.

"Bye Daddy!"

She waved as the lift takes her into the bus transportation toward the tutor's house.

"Be safe, Jess! Call me if you need anything."

Fred say.

Jess nods and settles in the bus.

So Archie and Fred has father and son lunch at Pop's and talked. Fred sense his son is jealous now that Jess is in the picture.

"It a lot huh?" Fred asked.

Archie said.

"I wish it was just us again."

Fred was a little hurt because he wished Matt seen Archie all grown up and in high school. He confesses sensing the pain in his voice.

"Matt, Jessica's Dad is your Godfather and Emily, Jessica's mother is your Godmother."

Archie was speechless and felt bad.

"Oh I didn't know that."

Fred said.

"From the moment you were born, your Godfather couldn't wait to be there for you in case something happened to me. Now I want you to promise me something, I want you to be there for Jessica no matter what happens to me. Be a brother to her! She has truly embraced you."

Archie understood but he was still feeling awkward since they are friends. Archie went to the bathroom to wash his hand.

As he washed his hands, he heard someone causing trouble Archie sees a robbery happens and sees Fred stand up and the Black Hood shoots Fred.

"Dad!"

Archie rushes to his side and tries to stop the bleeding. In between Archie called Jughead to keep Jessica engaging with something in case she sensed something's wrong and then help Fred up to take him to the hospital but Fred needs to get Jessica in order to go to the hospital.

"I can't leave her alone in her situation she needs you."

Tired and exhausted plus thinking she at school he said proudly and keeping his friend's promise.

"That's my baby girl!"

At the tutor's house Jessica did her math suddenly she felt worried and something not right. The presence was strong similar to what she did experience with her parents. She quickly thank her tutor and left to find Archie and Fred she was scared and trying not to cry.

Jughead sees Jessica wheeling and trying hard to keep her occupied.

"Jessica, let go back your place and watch a movie."

Jessica kept on going toward to where she think they are at. Jughead keeps trying to keep her away from the situation and she said.

"I don't want Archie to experience what I have gone through! My presence is damn strong and I need to see if they are ok."

Meanwhile Archie and Fred keeps looking for Jessica and Fred is worried sick.

"Jessica!"

The door open and Jessica wheels to find them

"Archie....Daddy!"

In the hallway she finally sees them relieve at first, but once she made over to them she's sees Fred in pain.

"Oh no."

Fred falls to the ground in pain as Jessica tearfully took one side and scoops him up as Archie take the other side and they both got Fred to the hospital.

As he stayed in the hospital Archie watched Jess and everything was fine but then overtime Jessica was struggling to sleep she was back at square one scared, worried for Archie she honestly didn't want him to experience the idea of losing a parent. At the same time Archie was worried about Jessica. One moment she found her Godfather and now she constantly up and worries.

At 2 am Archie sees her up and writing.

"Jessica you need to go get some sleep."

Jessica say.

"I can't."

He scooped her up as he remembered what his dad says earlier.

"Now I want you to promise me something, I want you to be there for Jessica no matter what happens to me. Be a brother to her! She has truly embraced you."

Jessica struggle to stay awake just as Archie carries her.

"Time for bed."

Archie looks over his shoulder and she was rubbing her eyes trying to keep herself awake. Then he had an idea awhile back he found a home video of Jessica as a baby and played it. In the video Matthew sang a lullaby as Archie's dad help with showing the lyrics.

During the video, Archie slow dancing with her hoping that it would work.  She heard Jessica mumbled as she giving up to stay awake as she hears her father's voice.

"Archie I am tired."

He was going to respond back as he had voice memo on, but she continues.

"Daddy, I miss you and mommy so very much.  Please watch over Archie's Daddy and my beloved God daddy. I love you both so very much."

Then it was quiet. Archie broke into tears quietly thankfully he recorded on his voice memo.

Archie slowly looks over and noticed his little God sister tucked out on his shoulder. He took the photo and the home video put it on Instagram and tagged to Jughead and his father captioned it.

ArchieA: My dad made me promise earlier to be there for Jessica in case anything happens to my dad. Be a brother to her and I am doing it. Look at my sister fast asleep. We love you Dad ❤️ and Matt, I got your baby girl she is in good hands. Rest In Peace, God Dad. Take care of Godmom as she rest as well.
