Teachers Appriciation Day

So it was Riverdale High talent show and the twist: the students honor their teacher by recreate their talent show video from when they were their age and why they choose the video. The teachers has to explain the backstory to their video. Archie's football team did Mad World for fun. Then Everly and Matt wanted to recreate a childhood video of Archie and Jess. The video is Jess was 7 or 8 and Archie was 2 or 3 years old. It was Archie's first church solo: he had learned on the guitar Jesus Loves Me few weeks prior to this moment. On the day of the performance, Archie got nervous real fast and Jess talked to him through it and brought him to the front, sat him down and poor thing he was nervous so Jess had a idea! So she wheels to the back of the sanctuary enough for Archie to see and did hand movements to Jesus Loves me that she remembered from Bible Camp that she learned. Archie sang Jesus Loves Me just following Jessica's hand gestures as he played and sang.

Archie remember that day so clearly and whispered to Jess.

"You saved my solo big time!"

Jessica whispered.

"I got you! The thing I was worried about, that my parents would see that I'm not sitting with them that why as I came back to my spot, you hear me quickly say GO Archie! To make them think I hadn't left my seat and knew that I am watching you."

On cue in the video, Jess said rolling towards her spot.

"GO Archie!"

Emily and Matt smiled with pride at their little girl unaware of what happen, just thinking that she had been sitting there the entire time. Fred leaned over to Jess, kissed her temple and whispered.

"Thank you for helping him out, Babygirl."

Jess said.

"No problem, Goddaddy. You took a photo of me did you?"

Fred admit.

"Yep to show him once Archie get older, I can show that you helped Archie overcome his nerves! I knew exactly what you were doing when you said to me. "Keep them occupied don't get me caught! I'm going to act like I have been in the pew the entire time."

Jess smiled at the moment she shared with Fred.

"Hey it works." She whispered to Archie.

So Matt and Everly reenacted it so perfectly. After the performance, Everly explained the reason why they chosen the video.

"We love the bond of Mom and Uncle Archie then and now of course! We love the way how mom quickly thought on her feet/wheels to really help Archie in a time he needed it."

Matt said.

"I am just amazed that our Grandparents didn't really noticed our mom isn't sitting there in the pew! Mom, were they always that mellow?"

Everyone laughed especially Jess.

"No not really! they were just excited to be at church."

Then Junior and Annabelle did recreate a video of Jess with her dance partner dancing on stage for ballet. The song was to Evanescence Bring Me To Life. Jess was smiling big and rocking out as it brought her back to the first time she heard of them between Preteen and teenager 12 or 13. The song really describe her inner frustration with her dad not wanting to go back to Riverdale. When it was over, Jess raised her power chair up and cheered.

"Yeah!"

Junior said.

"We picked it because the dance is beautiful and two we didn't know you loved rock music! So we combined your two loves. Love you, Godmother!"
