On her way to class she overheard someone say something about Jess. Jess and Archie hide and listened.
"That lady Everly sang with, she couldn't do anything!"
Jess sighed. This was exactly why she didn't want to get onstage at first. Everly calmly said.
"That lady is my mom. She may no longer walk or do anything, but she does it all with the love in her heart and that's final!"
Jess overheard and smiled.
"Thank babygirl!"
The bullies stopped as Everly hugged her mom.
"Always. What are you doing here?"
Jess said.
"You forgot the lunchbox."
Everly sighed.
"Duh I knew I had left something at home! Who brought you so I can say hi?"
Archie hugged his niece.
"I'm so very proud of you for what you just said now."
Everly said.
"Uncle! I miss you. I got to go to class! Thank you mommy!"
Overall it was a good day.
