Exhaustion

So Jessica had her dentist appointment as Jughead waited and her doctor said.

"Yep you need braces."

Jessica said.

"Wait what I have not worn braces since middle school! How what? No please I can't bare the pain."

The dentist gave her an recommendation and they went and after the orthodontist tighten her wires, she was in pain.

Meanwhile on the drive home Ronnie admit in text Archie has not rest and he is in his office at the center.

Sis: you're the one who convince Archie please get him home and rest.

Jess types.

Jess (sis): ok heads up I got braces

Haven't seen theses in awhile

Sis: OMG how you are feeling?

Jess (sis): pain and hello sleepless nights 🙄 welcome back not! If I look like a mess, this say why

They made it to the center and Jessica went in trying to ignore the pain.

"Archie?" She knocked.

Archie woke up and sees Jessica.

"Sis what going on?"

She said trying to force to chat despite her teeth is sore.

"Ronnie worries about you."

Archie sees her new accessories.

"Braces?"

Jessica nods

"Yep ugh how you know?"

He show a photo of Jess in middle school with Fred at an assembly.

"Geez hated that day not the photo but I couldn't speak because of the braces but your dad was so proud."

Archie hugged her.

"Lets go home."

On the way out, she saw the plaque in tribute to Fred and wheel up to it, stroked it and smile.

"Gosh Archie this was amazing. Sorry I wasn't there when it was placed, but I wasn't feeling well."

Archie said.

"You like?"

Jessica fought tears but the tears fell because of her wires paining her.

"Yeah I miss him, so much."

Eventually Archie went home and fell asleep with Veronica.

Month and month went by and Jessica wince and struggling to relax but nothing helped. At a family event she came in frustrated as they just tighten her braces. Archie took her aside seeing that she hasn't slept in days and Jughead felt helpless knowing Archie could eased her.

"Sis breathe."

Jessica blush and admit.

"I don't miss this at all I can't sleep without feeling pain for once this is literally why I have begged my dentist not to do it."

Archie carried her to the bedroom and gently played her mom tape as he rocked her exactly how Matthew once did. It took awhile but she finally found herself drifting off but the pain kept her frustrated as Archie stroke her face.

"Relax sis. Come on princess."

Jughead found the "glue" to ease the pain and rush in to place it on once he had the gloves.

"Better?"

Jessica mumbles hearing jug.

"Finally Baby relief kick in I am  so  tired.... can't talk, think."

She rested her head against Archie she looked peaceful like she did fell asleep resting against Fred for the first time when she was born. She had the exact expression on her face too. Jughead saw that baby photo and whispers.

"She hasn't changed one bit."

Archie sees the photo and couldn't believed it.

"Incredible."
