Cheers erupted in the room as Enjolras finished, but Marius didn't cheer.
"Had you seen her today you might know how it feels" he approached Enjolras.
"To be struck to the bone in a moment of breathless delight!" He tried to explain to Enjolras, but Enjolras just tutted and rolled his eyes, on their way round they met mine.
"Had you been there today, you might also have known, how your whole world can change in just one burst of light!" Marius continued, but Enjolras remained staring into my eyes.
"And what was right seemed wrong, and what was wrong seemed right" Marius now explained to the whole room but Enjolras and I were somewhere else. And that was the very moment when I realised, I wasn't falling in love with Enjolras, I was in love with Enjolras.
"Red!" Our attention was grasped by Grantaire chanting.
"I feel my soul on fire!" Marius kept it going.
"Black!" Grantaire raised his bottle in the air.
"My world if she's not there!" Marius had so much passion, although I had only known him minutes, I could tell how in love he was... I really understood how in love he was.
"Red!" The room erupted.
"It's the colour of desire!" Marius stood on the table.
"Black!" The boys continued.
"It's the colour of despair!" Marius had so much meaning and love just pouring out of him.
"Marius! You're no longer a child!" Enjolras pulled Marius down.
"I do not doubt you mean it well" Enjolras took a quick glance at me.
"But now there is a higher call" Enjolras' voice was filled with demand, I could see why he was the so called 'chief'.
"Who cares about your lonely soul? We strive towards a larger goal. Our little lives don't count at all." Enjolras' voice now filled with bitterness which made me think about what he said, how he wasn't a ladies man, how he didn't know or understand his feelings... how he probably didn't love me in return.
"Red!" Enjolras started.
"The blood of angry men! Black! The dark if ages past! Red! A world about to dawn! Black! The night that ends at last!" Even I joined in this time, the room filling with desire for a new France.
"Ok boys, lets discuss the rally tomorrow" Combeferre announced.
"Sorry, my apologies Miss Genevieve. Boys and girls!" He corrected himself.
"Now, Enjolras, how do you intend-" Lesgle started but I zoned out for while. I thought if Enjolras was capable of love... he didn't seem to understand loving another person. I couldn't help but wonder if he received enough of it as a child? Well if he didn't, then I wanted to show him how to love. He has a strong love for his cause, his country and the Amis, but I wondered if he wanted to have a family... a wife.
It had been over an hour and a half since we sat down and started speaking about the rally, I tuned in for the rest of it so I understood what was going on tomorrow.
"Gen, you stick with me" Courfeyrac instructed.
"No, Marius and I will take Gen. She's the new face of the revolution" Enjolras smiled to me making me blush.
"Enjolras, I'm not, you are! Look how much work you've put into this! I couldn't possibly take that away from you" I shook my head.
"You know she's right Enjolras, as much as I hate to say it, we wouldn't be here without you" Grantaire wandered over and actually but his bottle down to put a hand on Enjolras' shoulder.
