"What are they doing?" Heather asked. "Do they really think they won't be caught following him?"
"I like that they are following him." Helia said. "They can tell me what dad fucking wanted from me. Helios didn't just come out of hell for no reason."
Heather didn't get what she meant by that but she didn't pay it any mind. Helia said a lot of things she didn't understand and didn't ask for clarification. She would have gotten more confused.
Helia had been her friend for a while now. They'd grown up together and Helia had always looked out for her since she was only two years older. She never made a show of it but she did little things.
She taught her how to steal and pickpocket and talk her way out of everything.
She'd taught her how to wield a sword because her father hadn't wanted to teach her. She wasn't worthy enough apparently for reason she didn't know.
Her father liked HJ more than her, he didn't try to hide the fact. He'd gone as far as naming HJ after him. Heather had acted like it didn't bother her. What else was she to do?
Her mother didn't bother to pay attention to either of them because she hadn't expected anything more with their father. She hated him. Heather and HJ were just reminders of how she'd fallen.
Falling for weak little human when he had only used her to his advantage. She had felt humiliated and had told Heather and HJ to stay as far away from her as possible.
Which was why Heather was really confused when her mother walked through the doors of the Shoppe, her two sisters in tow.
Winifred, Mary and Sara Sanderson walked toward their table with smiles on their faces. It unsettled Heather.
"Hey what are you looking at?" Helia asked but paused when she looked st who had come through the door. "The Sanderson Sisters. Ursula isn't going to be happy you walked in here."
"Well we didn't want to." Sara said. "But Winnie here thought it would be a great idea. She won't tell us why."
"Winnie never tells us anything." Mary agreed, snagging a fry off of Helia's plate.
"Hey!" Helia exclaimed, a fire surrounding the sisters. "Nobody takes my food."
"Oh put out the fire Helia darling." Winifred said. "We mean no harm."
"No harm?" Helia said. "You're harming the fries on my plate. If you want food just order it."
"Fish food is gross." Sara said. "It's for cats. I like cats. We used to love turning little boys into them."
"I heard." Heather said. "Really mom. What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to see my beautiful daughter." Winifred said. "Is that too much to ask?"
"Yes it is." Heather said. "When you said you wanted nothing to do with your beautiful daughter. Now why are you really here mom?"
"Bad times are coming." Winifred said, looking into the distance over dramatically.
"I don't know what that means." Heather said. "Explain."
"Oh my dear." Sara said. "He hasn't told you yet?"
"Who hasn't told me what?" Heather asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Hector! Hector!" Mary chanted.
"My dad?" Heather asked.
"Junior!" Mary added.
"HJ?" Heather asked. "What didn't HJ tell me? He tells me everything. He's my twin."
"He's been keeping secrets hasn't he lately?" Winifred asked. "He's been avoiding you hasn't he?"
"H-he. Yeah." Heather said. "But he always does that. He disappears during the day and shows up at night."
"Don't you ever wonder why?" Winifred asked. "Why he leaves you all day?"
"Because he doesn't like being at Ursula's without Sam." Heather said. "He doesn't really like any of my other friends."
"Is that all of it?" Winifred asked. "Is that all he's hiding?"
"Mom What are you trying to do?" Heather asked. "I don't need to know everything about HJ. I don't need to know what he does during the day. He can keep that to himself."
"But are you not curious?" Sara asked. "Don't you want to know? It may be very important."
"Oh wait." Winifred said. "HJ doesn't know yet. We came too early."
"Let the girl doubt herself." Sara said with a giggle. "I'd love to see her reaction when she finds out."
"When I find out what?" Heather asked. "Tell me!"
"You have your mother's temper." Sara tutted. "Bye Heather!"
"See you later my little heathen." Winifred.
"Her name is Heather." Mary said.
"I know that." Winifred said. "It's called a play of words Mary."
"Okay." Mary said, nodding her head.
"Alright then let's go." Sara said. "I have an appointment at the Queen of Hearts' Salon. Move it."
"Bye Heather!" Mary said as the trio squabbled as they exited the Shoppe.
"What the fuck was that?" Helia asked.
"I don't know." Heather said. "But whatever it is hasn't happened yet so I shouldn't be worried right?"
"Are you talking to me or to yourself?" Helia asked.
"I don't know." Heather said. "I don't know who I'm talking to."
"Well I don't think it's something you have to worry about."Helia said. "Your mom is just talking crazy. Like she always does."
"You think?" Heather asked.
"I know." Helia said. "Besides if it was so important HJ would tell you. That is if you tried to listen."
"What are you trying to say. That I don't listen?"
"That's exactly what I'm trying to say." Helia said with a shrug.
Heather rolled her eyes, ignoring Helia and trying to ignore what her mother had said.
It was a lot easier said than done.
She had no idea what her mother meant by it, but she supposed it would be revealed in due time.
"Hey guys." The daughter of Ursula spoke as she appeared out of the back room, causing both Helia and Heather to look at her in surprise.
"Look who came out of her shell." Helia giggled. "See what I did there?"
