Heather and HJ boarded the ship, surveying the deck for their father.
"My dearest children!" Hector said. "Welcome home. Which you haven't been to in awhile I might add."
"Sorry dad." Heather said. "We've been uh busy."
"It wouldn't kill you to show up every once in awhile." Hector said with a shrug. "But it's okay nevertheless, sit."
Heather and HJ obliged, sitting down in front of him. He grinned at both of them, reaching out and placing a strand of Heather's hair behind her ear.
"What do you want dad?" Heather asked, tilting her head to the side.
"Do I have to want something to see my wonderful son and daughter?" Hector asked.
"You wouldn't have asked us to come here if you didn't." HJ shrugged. "So what do you want?"
"Such harsh words." Hector said, placing his hand over his heart. "Do you want me to get to the point so you can go on with your day?"
"That would be nice." Heather said as HJ nodded in agreement.
"Well that's interesting." Hector said. "Quite a dilemma."
"Dad you're taking too long." Heather said. "Can you just explain whatever it is and let us go?"
Her father said nothing only handing over a parchment for her to read.
"His Royal Majesty,
King Ben of Auradon and his Counselor, Ms. Evie of the Isle, hereby request the pleasure of your company, Hector Barbossa Jr., for the current academic year at Auradon Prep. Please notify His Majesty's couriers of your response to this request.
We'd love you to join us at Auradon Prep. Will you come? Signed, King Ben."
"When did you get this?" Heather asked.
"About three months ago." Hector said
"And you didn't bother telling us until now?" Heather asked. "And this only says HJ, what about me?"
"Well like I said." Hector said. "You haven't come home."
"But you could've told us could you not?" HJ asked,
"I could've but you see I didn't remember until they sent another letter saying that you were going because Sam was going."
