(MacGyver's POV)

This was it.

The moment they had all been awaiting as well as dreading.

He sat in the van next to Cage who looked just fine, but he knew that under her facade she was terrified. So was he. They were both afraid of losing each other. He looked to his left where Sofia sat with Fader. Her face was blank and she looked lost in thought.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked her.

Sofia jerked out of her headspace and turned in his direction "Huh?" "I said, what are you thinking about?" He repeated.

Sofia shrugged and tilted her head black against the metal panel. "Just my mom. Today would have been her birthday."

"Would have been? Riley interjected from across the van.

Sofia shrugged again "She died in a car crash when I was fourteen."

"I'm sorry to hear that." Riley told her.

"It's okay." Sofia replied.

"So then what happened to you?" Cage asked.

"They wanted to put me in state custody, but....a family friend took me in."

MacGyver could tell by the break in her voice that it had been Dallas's family who had taken her in.

Sofia fell silent again, and shifted to peer out the window. "We're nearly there." She said, keeping her gaze on the passing outside world.

There was fear laced in her voice as well as determination. MacGyver thought back to the promise he had made to her in the holding room "Promise me, that if something happens to me when we find them, you'll put those four wretched women in the hell they deserve." "I will."

MacGyver looked at his sister again. "We're going to end this Sofia." He told her "No matter what it takes. I promise."

She looked at him with a burning fire in her eyes. "I know. Those women are going to have hell to pay."

(Sofia POV)

Sofia looked out the window wondering how in the hell they were going to pull this off. The Ophidia never missed a thing. Would this plan actually work? Or would it be a repeat of last time? Sofia wouldn't be able to handle that. Not again.

Playing with the zipper on her jacket, her stomach clenched as they approached the long alleyway that lead to the Ophidia's hidden headquarters.

"Stop the van." She called to Jack who was looking around frantically for some sort of facility.

He stopped and turned to look at her through the fenced walling. "Why?" He asked suspiciously.

"Because." She said, nodding towards the alley "We're here."

Jack put the van in park and looked around. "Are you sure? Because all I see is some sort of abandoned alleyway." He said, motioning towards the dark, bare space.

Sofia shook her head, "Trust me. The entrance is the alley."

Pushing open the door, Sofia and Maia jumped out, the Phoenix following. Alan and the rest of the Firebird had arrived just minutes before in a separate van. They filed over and stood by their leader. Sofia turned to address the Phoenix.

"Alright," She said in a low voice "When we're in there, you follow my orders. No questions. The Firebird follow my command, whatever that command may be. Any refusals and they'll know something's up. Don't speak unless spoken too. The Firebird and I know how to navigate conversation with these people. And lastly, be careful. When they find out they've been deceived, they're not going to go down without a fight. When the fighting breaks out, protect yourselves by any means. If we have to fight, do so in pairs if possible. Once they get you on your own it's game over. Got it?" She asked.
