MacGyver

Mac used to love Fridays.

They were his favorite day of the week. Today however, that wasn't the case. After yesterday's chilling events, He'd been unable to sleep, and absolutely dreading returning to the place where that shell of a human currently resided.

He was currently standing outside the glass double doors debating whether or not to go in.

Similar to yesterday, they'd been called up on another 'urgent' situation., but he had the distressed feeling that whatever it was, meant having to deal with his sister in some capacity.

"Well, are you going in?" An accented voice startled him from behind.

"I suppose. I just don't want to deal with her today. I mean, it's Friday, you know?"

Cage laughed at his comment, "Maybe you won't have to." She tried.

Moving around him, the blonde grabbed at the door and held it open. "Ladies first." She snorted playfully.

Mac rolled his eyes at his friend, and taking a breath of confidence, headed inside.

------------

Riley, Jack, Mac. and Cage stood near the back of the War Room, waiting for Matty to update them on whatever this 'urgent' situation was.

Mac shifted uncomfortably on his feet, as the anticipation was eating him alive.

Riley, seemingly growing bored of the silence, turned her attention on his jostling form.

"So how did it go yesterday with Spider girl?" Did you get anything out of her?" She asked.

Mac almost stiffened at her words, but not wanting to show any signs of visible discomfort, he opted for a shrug instead. "A few things, none of them very useful."

"Well did ya at least figure out what the hell she wants with us?" Jack pressed.

Mac nodded. "Murdoc tricked her into thinking we killed her brother in order to use her in his favor."

"So who killed her brother then?" Riley inquired, obviously confused.

"Well that's just it." Cage cut in, "Her brother's not dead."

Riley shook her head, still trying to wrap her mind around the riddle being thrown at her.

"So is he or is he not dead then?

"He's not."

"And how do we know?"

Mac took a breath and glanced at Cage who gave him a tiny nod of encouragement.

"Because I'm her brother." He finally answered.

A wave of shock rippled through the room.

"I'm sorry, what?" Riley asked. She seemed to be having a hard time processing the news.

"She's your sister? I'll tell you Mac, I did not see that coming." Jack told him.

Cage shook her head. "None of us did. How could we?"

"None of us did what?"

Mac immediately straightened as Matty walked in the room.

"Oh nothing." Jack replied, cool as ever, "Mac was just telling us about his lovely sister."

Matty shot him a look of annoyance. "Well his lovely sister is the least of our problems right now, though she seems to be the cause of them."

"What do you mean?" Riley asked her. "Does she have something to do with the 'urgent situation'?"
