Troye made sure Jacob got to the carriage before turning around and walking into the castle. What Jacob said, even though it wasn't much, it resonated with him. There was someone that was threatening lives and it was in his own court.

The young prince rounded a corner and went upstairs to the room were his uncle handles most of the political moves of England. Right now, he was currently on his way to Spain with King James to talk military strategies. He shuffled through papers on the table, most were just about the alliance others were the coronations.

During his search he saw some papers that weren't in his uncles handwriting, it was his mothers. Troye pulls the chair that's behind him and sat down. When his mother died he had went through all of his parents things when they were killed. Why hadn't he had come across this?

June 29th 1892.

This was a month before they died.

It's getting harder to walk now, court physician said I had about a week before I fully wont be able to. Shaun is already to a bed, whatever this was must have hit him first, I quickly after. Troye has begun to take notice of my weakness and as much as he wants to say he's strong I know this is hurting him, and it only hurts me more. I always told him that one day I wouldn't be here to rule, I just didn't think it would be so soon... so sudden.

Shaun has made Hunter regent till he is of age, of course he was grateful but he seemed too eager. I mentioned word to Shaun about my concerns but he dismissed it as Hunter being himself. He always said when they were younger Hunter always wanted to be a ruler. Now he has the opportunity... even if it fleeting. It's just that everything seems so sudden... as if it was plan-

"Troye," Alexandria says walking in. "If you're looking for Lord Hunter he is-."

Troye quickly covers up the paper before sighing. "I'm just looking for something."

"Well what are you looking for, I could help you kn-."

He slams his hand on the table. "Princess Alexandria if you c-." He stops himself before looking at Alexandria. "Remember what you said... about our safety."

"Yes."

"Who was it that threatened you in such way?" Troye said.

Alexandria folded her hands in front of her to get herself from playing with them, it was a nervous habit she did. "Troye I-."

"Alexandria," Troye then walks from behind the desk. "Alexandria." He takes her hands and holds them in his own. "I need you to tell me i think whoever this is is behind so much more than us."

Alexandria looks down at their hands before looking behind her. Troye follows her gaze before walking over to the heavy doors and shutting them. Alexandria sighs and walks over to one of the chairs and sits down. Troye kneels in front of her before grabbing her hand again.

"It's just me and you in here," Troye says. "What we say will not leave this room."

Alexandria looked at him. "When I first arrived here," She took a shaky breath. "Your uncle spoke to me before my father came onto land. He said- he said that if I don't get this to work he'd kill me and you."

Troye leaned back on his legs. "But," He said with a breathy sigh. "If he did that he'd lose Spain and he made this alliance for the sole purpose of Spain."

He quickly stood up and walked back over to the desk and searched for the journal entry his mother made.

Hunter always wanted to be a ruler...
