It was another one of those sleepless nights for Troye. Last night was a blur to him, probably filled with crying because his eyes felt puffy. When he looked around he saw that he was still in his mothers room and the mirror was still broken.

He knew that the mirror wouldn't magically fix itself overnight but he couldn't help the little part of himself that hoped the mirror would be back together. Because if something like a mirror could be put back together maybe he could too.

The wooden door opened just as Troye began to sit up. It was Alexandria and she was carrying a picnic basket. When she turned around she jumped a little. "Oh," She says. "I suspected you to still be asleep."

"What's that?" Troye says gesturing to the  basket.

She places that basket down and then walks over to the bed and sits down. "I told your uncle you were taking me to one of the Villa's you own. I didn't know how you'd be feeling."

"Did he believe you?" Troye said.

Alexandria shrugged. "He hasn't sent for us so I suppose not."

"Good."

Troye looked back over at the mirror and Alexandria followed his gaze. She looked between him and the broken mirror, she wondered if Troye would try to punch the already broken glass. Troye was practically a mess last night, she had never seen him in such... distraught. He's just cry and when he wasn't he was dead silent, it was an ongoing cycle.

Alexandria felt herself lucky that she had came in when she did, she didn't know what Troye would do. He already punched a mirror who knows what else he'd do.

"How is your hand." Alexandria says.

Troye grabs his bandaged hand with his normal one. "Fine, thank you."

The young princess got up and walked over to the basket and pulled out some food. She walked back over to Troye and handed some of it. Troye looked at it and then back at Alexandria. "Why are you doing this?"

"Doing what."

He gestures to the food. "All of it," He says. "I've treated you so coldly and you still show me kindness."

"We're a lot a like you and I," Alexandria says. "Prisoners of our own court, unable to make our own decisions. We're nothing but pawns to them... not matter how much they say they love and care for us."

Troye looked at Alexandria almost as if he was looking at her for the first time. He long dark hair, her gown with the color of her home country. She was a beautiful person, a beautiful person with a tormented mind. She didn't deserve this torment she treated people with so much kindness even if she endured so much.

"We're going to the Vatican." Troye said.

Alexandria looked at him. "But your uncle-."

"Won't suspect a thing," Troye said. "I am a man of my word Princess Alexandria."

She smiled as she stood up. "I am forever in your debt." She says bowing her head.

Troye returned the gesture. "And I you."

"Your highness," One of the merchant ladies said as Troye walked down the little street. "Jacob told me to tell you that he is in his usual place."

Troye thought to himself for a moment before nodding his head. "Thank you," He says. "Have a nice day."

The lady bows her head before going on her merry way. The young prince walked a little ways down before stopping at the wooded area. Jacob was putting down a blanket he turned around and bowed his head. "Your highness," He says. "I mean Troye."

Troye smiled a little and it was weird. He had never smiled so much until he had met Jacob... or at least met him for the second time. He hadn't smiled since his mother was killed. He thought he would never smile again.

Jacob smiled and looked down at the basket. "I got the baker to make you your favorite bread," He said rolling on his feet. "It was a little extra gold to get it fresh but it was worth it."

"There is so much more you can do with your gold Jacob." Troye said.

Jacob smirked, he remembered having a conversation like this awhile ago. If this is what deja vu is like it's nice. "I do hope to buy land one day."

"See, save it for that," Troye said. "Don't waste your gold on me."

Jacob shrugged. "I have time, we're only nineteen."

Troye sits on the blanket. "If only it were that easy," He says. "My uncle and King James have been pushing the coronation down our throats. And then with the new information I found out about my parents and what happened between them and my uncle. Alexandria has just been a mess and I have to act like I-."

"Troye," Jacob says sitting on the blanket next to Troye. "Why do you come out here."

"To get away from English court." The young prince says looking up at Jacob.

Out of an old habit Jacob cupped the side of Troye's face. Troye looked down at Jacob's hand on his face. He could feel Jacob start to pull his hand away out of fear but Troye was quick to put his hand over Jacob as a way to tell him that it was okay.

Jacob's lips quirked up into a smile. "Exactly," He said. "You aren't the prince of England right now Troye. You're just Troye."

The taller boy removed his hand from Troye's face as Troye broke off a piece of bread as he put it into his mouth. "God I just wish all of this could be simpler," He smiles to himself. "Sometimes I wish I never grew up."

Jacob made a face as he got up and grabbed on of the sticks. "Care for a duel?" He says pointing the stick at Troye.

Troye chuckled as he grabbed the other stick and stood in front of Jacob. They each took their fighting stance before Troye took the first swipe at Jacob. He quickly dodged it before returning the favor. They fought for a little bit before Jacob yet again hit at Troye's legs sending him down to the ground.

"Block your legs next time." Jacob said with a laugh as he held out his hand to Troye.

Troye raises an eyebrow before grabbing Troye's hand. Instead of pulling himself up he pulled Jacob down. He let out a little noise as he fell on top of the young prince. The two shared a laugh before a silence feel over them. Jacob looked at Troye, he moved some curls out of his face as he cupped the side of it. Troye watch as Jacob did that and found himself mimicking his motions.

Jacob slowly started to close the gap between the two of them but Troye quickly put his hand on Jacob's chest. The taller boy quickly realized what he was doing and rolled off of Troye and sat up.

"I-I'm sorry," Jacob said. "I didn't mean to it was just-."

Troye found himself breathing harder. "I-I need to go." He said before getting up and quickly leaving.

Jacob watched as Troye left, when he was gone the common boy let of a very annoyed sigh as he let his body fall back down on the ground.
