Troye watched as the royals dance and spun each other around. He watched as men much like himself stood to the side not wanting to take part in the festivities. His hand had somewhat healed but you could tell that he punched something.

The young prince looked over at his uncle who was talking and laughing with King James and other nobles he would hand Troye off to if Spain didn't work out. He hated dances, but of course despite his hatred towards them his uncle still force them onto him.

Princess Alexandria looked up and noticed Troye standing alone. She bowed her head excusing herself from the people she was talking to and walked over to the young price.

"Your highness," She says bowing her head.

"Are you enjoying the party Princess Alexandria," Troye said attempting to play nice.

Alexandria smiled nodding her head before noticing the dried blood on his hand. She stepped toward him attempting to grab his hand but Troye was quick to pull it away.

"What did you do to your hand," She says.

Troye stepped from beside Alexandria and stood in front of her. "I'd prefer you don't ask so many questions," He said. "It would be better for the both of us when we are wed."

Alexandria was taken aback by the statement sighing. "Your uncle told me about your parents."

"Then you should know that I prefer not to talk about it." Troye says gritting his teeth.

Alexandria nodded her head. "I understand you don't want to marry me," She says. "But for your safety and mine we have to-."

Troye made a face. "What do you mean for our safety?" He says.

The young princess' eye widened before shaking her head. "The alliance," She says. "Once we are wed our countries will be aligned."

Troye shook his head. "You weren't talking about Spain and England. There is something else, isn't ther-."

Alexandria worryingly shook her head. "Not now, please."

The blue eyed boy backed away from the princess. In the short time he's know her this is the first time he has seen such terror in her face.

"Troye, Alexandria," Troye's uncle says walking up to them. "This party is in honor of your alliance. Dance, have fun..." He says looking mainly at Troye.

Troye's uncle clears his throat which causes a hush to fall over the room. "I would like to announce to you all," He says with a big smile. "Alexandria Love and Troye Sivan..."

"Your future King and Queen."

Troye sighed looking out over the castle and part of the town. It was night time and both the moon and stars were out. The party had still been going on but Troye had excused himself early.

"I'm sorry Mum," Troye says pulling out the ring and looking up at the stars. "I told you I would marry for love and now... now I am forming an alliance with Spain."

He shook his head. "Uncle said I would grow to love her. That, that's what royals do but... I won't, I can't."

Troye looked down at the ring with a hard face and sighed letting his head fall. After a few minutes of silence he heard the sound of heals clicking. Troye rolled his eyes before looking up and turning to the princess.

"You should be at the party," Alexandria says.

Troye quickly put the ring back in his pocket. "So should you." He said before turning back and looking off the balcony.
