I shut the door and saw my Father sitting on the bed, "Hello Father." "Hello Euphie." My father said. "Please do not call me that." I said. "I am sorry." He replied. "You said you would tell me how you know that this is indeed your father." Mother says. Father stood and walked over to me. "It is alright I know you saw them. I can see your scars as well. Our magic prevents non-magic users from seeing them. You can tell her." He whispered in my ear.
I nodded. I took deep breath, turned my back to my mother. I closed my eyes, willing my magic to reveal my scars, and unzipped the back of my dress. "Because of these." I said. I heard my mother gasp. "Where did those scars come from. There were not there before." My mother said. "Yes they were Mother. They always have been. I just hid them. Using...magic. I snapped my fingers and I had on a pair of black leggings and a white strapless top. Mother gasped again. I looked to my father He had removed his shirt and revealed the identical scars. "How is this possible? What are they from?" My mother asked. I took another deep breath and turned to face her. I closed my eyes. "These are the reason for the scars." I said.
I felt my wings slowly appear from where the scars are. I opened my eyes and my mom looked deathly afraid. My father's wings were also out and he was lowly flying in the air. His wings were a darker blue than mine and a bit bigger. I looked at my mother. Her face was very pale. "Mother? Are you alright?" "Yes dear. I-I am fine. How is this possible? How are you... How do you have wings." My mother asked. "I do not actually know." I said realizing that I actually did not know. "How do you not know how you have wings? You are the one with the wings." My mother snapped a bit. "She would not know love, because I have not been around to tell her. About one hundred years ago in a land called Faerydae, there was a young girl and she was beautiful, but very strange. For she could sprout wings from her back and retract them at will. She could also use magic, but this was not an ordinary girl. She was Nyx. Queen of the Nephalems. Nephalems are half angel and half human.
One day Nyx decided to travel to the human world and while she was there, she met a man. This man said that Nyx was the love of his life, but it was not to be. Not long after the man found out that Nyx was an Nephalem, he rejected her. In anger she fled the human world and instead of calming down, she took her anger out on her people. They managed to overpower and banish her, but what her people did not know is that Nyx had a baby. This baby was born in the human world and grew to be a wonderful person, but without a queen the land and kingdom of Faerydae began to crumble. The Nephalems fell into slavery under the rule of Kieshel, The Daemonium Lord. A Daemonium is a hybrid like us, but are half Demon instead of being half Angel. There is a prophecy that one day, the heir of Faerydae's throne will return to Faerydae, defeat Kieshel, and free the Nephalems. Bringing peace to Faerydae once again. I am a descendent of the Nephalem Queen and I was discovered by Kieshel. The reason I left was to protect Euphemia from Kieshel, but I have reason to believe that Kieshel has found Euphemia and now I am must protect Euphemia here and she must learn to defend herself.
I can tell you now that I know who one of Kieshel's guards are. They can be anyone, but at this moment, I know one is Matthew." My father finished. There was long silence. "Get out." I heard my mother quietly say breaking the silence. "What?" I said " I said Get Out!" My mother said louder. "You come here claiming to be my husband and accuse our best general of treason?" Mother said almost screaming. "Yes because Matthew is dead. He left with me eleven years ago, because he refused to leave my side. I watched as he was killed by Kieshel's hand. I watched and I mourned. Kieshel, showed me a picture of Euphemia and not one of when she was four. She was much older. The long pale blue hair and silver eyes. I knew Callista. I knew that they had found her and that they were coming to kill her. So I came back as quickly as could. I gave myself no time to rest and heal after my battle with Kieshel. I left and came straight here." My father yelled back until he said her name, then he calmed down.
"Father? He showed me a badge, it looked identical to Calix's" I said. My Father touched down on the ground and his wings retracted. I snapped my fingers and my wings and temporary outfit disappeared, returning me to my dress from school. He reached in his pocket and pulled out a badge, but it was old and cracked. "This is Matthew's badge Euphemia." He walked over and handed it to mother. She took and examined it. "He is telling the truth my Princess. This is real." Mother said. I nodded and took out my cell phone. "What is that?" Mother asked. "It is a cell phone Mother. The commoners use them" I called Calix and he answered. "Hello Calix. Can you find and send all new and visiting guards to the throne room tomorrow morning. Yes that includes Matthew. No I am not allowed to discuss why. Okay, Thanks. Yes I will see you in a little bit." I hung up and turned to my Mother. "We have to go to the throne room in the morning. I have ordered for all new and visiting guards to report to the throne room. We can ask them all for their badges and check all of them. Then it will not raise suspicion in Matthew, or uh Kieshel's guards." My parents nodded. I returned to my room and the next morning we made our way to the throne room.
