Both men woke up early the next morning.

They enjoyed their breakfast and left to join Charlotte who was glowing.

- Oh my, you look amazing! Severus said in awe

- Thanks for noticing, darling husband, she said and approached them , kissing first Severus and then Nathan, both on their cheek.

- Come on, on the cheek ? really ? am I your son too ? Severus whined.

Charlotte smirked but stood still.

- Are we going for a walk and then lunch as usual, Mom ?

- Of course.

- Good. We have discussed many things with Dad and we would like to inform you about our decisions, he explained.

- Perfect, she replied with a smile.

Charlotte was very happy to hear that they had actually managed to agree to certain terms and of course they were willing to fight and restore their loving relationship.

The rest of the days were easy going, happy, full of smiles and hugs.

Two nights before leaving, Severus asked Nathan's permission to have a night for himself and his wife only.

- Of course, Dad. I will stay here and read a book.

He took his wife to a very charming restaurant, romantic and cozy.

She looked more beautiful than ever before.

He was feeling quite nervous himself.

- Well, Severus, you never had the chance to tell me Nathan's reactions to the memories you showed to him.

- He is very mature for his age. I pulled him out of intimate moments, though. His answer was brief but sincere. He then continued.

- I have missed you, as a lover and companion. I really need to cope with Nathan and restore our relationship, because I can't afford to lose you.

- You are not losing me Severus. Our family comes first, especially now. I know you are feeling bad too. I was also cruel towards you. I was also stressed.

- Have you forgiven me ?

- There is nothing to forgive, my Love. I told you that I couldn't forgive you, but it ain't true. I love you. What you did was for the best of our family. But I was deeply concerned for my son. I hope you understand this. I shouldn't have question your parenting methods so much, I must agree with you on that.

- I love you, he whispered.

- I love you too, she replied.

- Have you ever regretted our Marriage ?

- Why are you asking this ? Have you ever regretted our Marriage ? she returned the question.

- Yes, I have, he admitted.

- When ? Charlotte had tears in her eyes.

- After Nathan's meltdown. It is the only time in my life that I actually felt a complete failure as a parent. It was the only time I also questioned myself, whether I should have gotten married and produce children. I have failed my wife and I was losing my son. Perhaps it would be better to give up my magic.

- It was intense. You have never failed me. I hardly think you have failed Nathan too. We have been through too much. And we were both "virgins" in relationships... maybe someone more experienced would have handled more successfully everything... maybe not.
