I was looking at my sister Marigold, my Mom, my son, and Xanity. They were talking and laughing near the pool area. Xanity was helping my son with his goggles. I saw my son politely thanked her and then head to the swimming pool. After that she saw me, then wave at me, I wave back at her before going inside the Demonteverde mansion.

I went to the main bar and saw Bronze and Dad. Dad took a bottle of bourbon, give us a hand signal, and said, "Library boys" He commanded. He sat on his chair while Bronze and I comfortably rest our back on the sofa. "Drink up!" he said, and we did.

"Now Silver, anong katarantaduhan yan sinasabi mo na magpapakasal ka?" A straight question from dad. Kahit kailan hindi nagpapaligoy-ligoy si Dad. Isa sa ugali nya na namana ko. Umiling ako at tipid na ngumiti.

Like him, I don't go beating around the bushes, "It's final Dad, I will give my name to Xanity" I answered with the same gesture.

"You can't even say the word MARRY brother". Bronze was laughing. He was teasing me.

"It doesn't matter". I frowned.

"Do you know the consequences of your decisions? Marriage without love mostly end-up in heartbreak, pain, and separation. Not to mention the worst part of it is if you happen to have kids, they will surely be the one to suffer in the end." Paliwanag at pagpapaintindi sa akin no Dad.

"Dad I can't keep living without direction for Carl's sake. My heart is long dead, but I need to keep living and keep my promise. And besides, would you rather see me with a different woman, or go back throwing my life with the help of this?" I raise the bottle of bourbon to remind them of the first year of my worthless life.

"I don't agree with your reason, but I do agree that she's a good person and she will be a good wife and a mother. But let me make it clear Silver. Carl is my apo and he's staying with us." He firmly said.

"Alam ko po yun Dad, I know I can't separate Carl from you both. Kahit noon pang buhay si Vriella ay sinabi na nya na Carl's heart belongs here at the Mansion with his Lolo and Lola." I smiled remembering my wife's words.

"Then you won't have a problem with me and your mom."
