Chapter 9: I'm Sorry

I was singing with all my heart. The bride picked one of my favorite songs. I was looking at the couple and they look perfect. This is one of the many things I love about my job. The air is filled with love, happiness, and positive well-wishers. Most especially for the couples showing everyone how much they love each other. I feel lighthearted every time I see them look at each other with so much affection in their eyes. It never fails to make me feel the magic and power of great love.

I let out an imaginary sigh in my head, somehow, I wish I could see those affections in Christian's eyes. I look around to see if my husband has arrived, but disappointed to learn that he's still nowhere to be found. I snapped out of my own feelings and concentrate on my duties. I smiled and put all my attention to the crowd, I must set aside my real emotion from my profession.

I was pouring my heart while singing ng biglang huminto sa pagsasayaw ang newlywed couple. Huh? May pagtataka sa isip ko nang makita kong bumitiw si Mr. Demonteverde sa kanyang asawa. Hmmm... bakit kaya? I wonder why he did that?

Wait. What the heck? Bakit nakatingin siya sa akin, did I do something wrong? Nag panic agad ang isip ko. But after analyzing myself and my performance, I knew I did nothing wrong. Maayos ang pag kanta ko, maging ang boses ko, pati ang emosyon na inilalapat ko rito ay maayos din. Imagination ko lang siguro ang lahat O kaya panaginip. Pero teka, gising naman ako ah.

Another thing that caught my attention was the groom is walking towards me. What is going on here? Nagsisimula na rin kumabog ng malakas ang dibdidb ko.

Naguguluhan na rin ako, nakikita at naririnig ko ang malakas na tawag ni Ms. Xanity sa pangalan ng asawa nya pero parang wala itong naririnig. Ni hindi niya alintana ang kaguluhan nagaganap sa kanyang likuran na labis ko namang ipinagtataka at hindi maintindihan.

Bakit wala siyang pakialam sa paligid? Bakit patuloy ang lakad niya patungo sa aking direksyon. Luh!? Ano'to?

Tumingin ako sa likuran ko at nagbabakasakaling may tao roon, pero wala, walang ibang tao. Ako talaga? Sa akin talaga sya nakatingin?

He's seriously getting close to me that I couldn't help but stop singing. I don't understand but there is something in his eyes that caught mine. I'm now staring at him like I've been drawn by his sad longing eyes. And in just a last step, he is now standing in front of me, looking into my eyes, he wasn't even blinking as if he's searching deep into my soul.

Teka nga lang, ah alam ko na! He has autism. Mabilis na sagot ng aking isipan. Ganito kasi yung may autism, nakatuon lang ang attention sa kung ano ang gusto niyang gawin. It's not that negative, you only need to understand that sometimes, when they set their minds on to something, no one can stop them unless they've accomplice or get what they want. Ah so, kamag-anak pala siya ni Loverboy! Now I got it. I understand. Ibubuka ko na sana ang aking bibig upang mag salita pero inunahan na niya ako.

"Vriella" and to my surprise bumaba na ang labi niya sa labi ko. Hindi naman ako nakagalaw, mula ulo, mata, labi, kamay, hanggang paa, at pati ilong dahil tila nakalimutan kong huminga.

I was shocked, yet his kisses were too soft, too gently it was so calming. Wow naman, what? Soft, gentle, and calming? Snapped out of it Auracle!!
