Holding the back of her hand against her lips, she stiffed a giggle from leaving her throat. However, it wasn't out of amusement. A poor attempt at masking her nervous state. She was currently hiding in the highest point of the area, ducking behind fallen off wood from the structure and watching the killer move steadily towards Feng. However, before she spotted her, Feng already covered herself from her eyes.
(Y/N) herself was able to get a taste of the frenzy she could throw already twice. From that experience alone she knew that she couldn't compete with speed against the killer. But more interesting to her was the appearance. The pink hair, the skirt, and the worn-out old hoodie. Without the mask, she would be able to pass through as another survivor. Nonetheless, her actions showed differently.
(Y/N) couldn't outrun her, like with most of the other creatures. The only way she got away twice, was thanks to David, who redirected the killer's attention onto himself; the first time accidentally and the second one voluntary. Even though the (H/C) haired had no problem with being chased in the slightest. When it came down, that was everything she did.
The young girl never even once tried to help repair the generators. When Dwight explained it to her, she found it boring and complicated. But attracting the attention of the killer and leading him away, to save time, sounded more fun. She didn't mind being sacrificed. But she should start though because Meg got out by always trying her best and in the end, she had gotten away so many times that she became worthy of leaving. If (Y/N) would keep this up, she'll eventually never break out of the nightmare holding her down.
Heaving a puff, she began to climb down again, aiding her team in the fight for survival; sabotaging a totem on her way just for good luck.
Upon stepping outside, she bluntly wandered around, hoping to attract "unwanted" attention. It was hard at first to get used to her self-imposed task, taking into account that she mostly spent her time being invisible in the real world. But someone had to sacrifice themselves, right? Maybe one day, when she got sick and irritated by all this, she'll start to follow common sense. But right now, she kinda enjoyed the adrenaline rush and the excitement building up deep inside her whenever she got the chance to play a little hide and seek. Perhaps that was the problem. She didn't grow up, still seeing everything as a game for fun, with no consequences whatsoever.
With no effect. She'll be spotted by the killer, chased for a few minutes, injured, and in the end, she'll either escape or be sacrificed. But whatever happened, she learned that after all she'll be sitting at the campfire, drinking and eating something small, telling the others everything that had occurred in the trial like it was an old memory. Like it was a story from her childhood; not a traumatic experience.
Stopping in her tracks, the (E/C) eyed met with a murderous matter. They only had one more generator to repair and (Y/N) needed to take this chance and mislead the new one.
She watched as her fist around her knife grew tighter and how her whole body turned to her. The killer will let fury take over their mind and charge at (Y/N) in just a second. Not letting thoughts prevent her from action, she turned around and ran in the opposite direction, hearing the heavy footsteps and breathing behind her.
She tried to avoid open spaces but also knew that windows and pallets wouldn't help much either, showing that when the burning sensation in her shoulder grew by seconds; even more noticeable when the sharp object was pulled out again. It didn't stop her from running and as soon as her ears picked up the roaring sound of the exit opening and leading her to heaven's gate, she became more adrenalized.
It shouldn't be far anymore but the killer was hot on her heels and ready to attack her again every second. However, suddenly the killer grunted and slowed down; a simple opportunity to get away without further harm.
Completely sacrificing her last breaths, she sprinted forward, a smile stretching across her face. A few meters separated her from her first-round without ever hanging helplessly on a hook, depending on a stranger's help.
The piercing pain she felt before spread in her back, the agonizing feeling not as deep as the wound in her shoulder; however, she felt the cold sharp metal slide across her now cold and exposed skin on her back. The thick, hot blood became especially perceptible.
It wasn't essential enough for (Y/N) to quit her survival instinct and to her luck, she was outside the trial the very next second; not needing to run even for a single meter.
The (H/C) haired fell into Feng's arm, who tried to support the out of breath female. „That was close", Kate sighed as she watched Feng helping (Y/N) up. „Thanks for keeping her occupied back there. Got me enough time to open up", she smiled towards her, (Y/N) returning the gesture.
She let a giggle slip past her lips because she held all the reasons to be happy now. Her first trial without hanging on the dirty and rusty hook. Yeah, that's something she needed to celebrate.
Her happy but slumpy skipping through the woods back to the campfire, brought confusion to her male teammate this round. David just didn't see where all this positivity could come from at a place like this. She was chased and had an injured shoulder, but she acted like a little child about to get ice cream. It puzzled him, however, he couldn't help but hide the grin that tried to spread across his features.
In the end, if (Y/N) didn't have that constant easy-going smile, no one would.
