The scratching of the pencil against the paper was the only sound reaching her. Frank decided to sit back and watch her draw, leading her to make even more mistakes which caused her eraser to decrease its size in a short period of time. To add to her frustrated state, (Y/N) couldn't remember all the details from her dream anymore. The person she had seen while asleep didn't look like what she was drawing right now anymore. Her thoughts always went to a certain someone, who made the younger girl too nervous to concentrate.
„Aren't you bored?“, putting her pen away, she directed her eyes to her only company, chewing on the inside of her cheek to fixate her tension onto something physical.
Of course, she asked Frank to visit her from time to time but, like always, she regretted ever speaking her mind.
Leaning over to her to inspect her progress, he let out a sigh. „Yeah, a lot actually.“
„Huh?“, a questioning look crossed her features as she knitted her brows together. „Then why are you still here?“
What was he planning? He wouldn't just sit here with her even though he was bored out of his mind; no one would. Except if they had something to benefit from it.
Frank shrugged at her question, still not meeting her eyes. „I mean, when was the last time you talked to someone?“
„Stop acting like you care about that“, her sharp tone took him by surprise since now he finally acknowledged her furious glare. „Why are you really here? I don't need your pity so if that's the reason just take your knife back and leave.“
Her tone of voice didn't reach the look in her eyes. Frank even doubted that she meant what she said. Desperation was clearly visible, but she tried to hide it. But who could blame her? He wasn't exactly the best person to share such sensitive feelings with but he easily saw behind her defense to discover the hidden request.
She wanted company even if it was him but she despised looking weak. But those were basic human needs and she shouldn't be ashamed to voice them. However, the younger girl lived in the delusion that everyone only had bad intentions, so he could easily see from where her suspicion originated. Although, he didn't know what caused it.
