Can you do one thing right?“
She could hear her heart skipping beats occasionally.
„You only cause me trouble! I've carried you for nine months and this is how you thank me?“
Her hands were sweating.
A loud bang echoed through the blank space called her mind. Glass shattered to the ground as it barely missed her.
Squeezing her eyes shut she tried to forget the noise with the hint of danger.
„Look what you made me do, you ungrateful... you- see? I have no words for you!“
Please stop.
„You think you're clever? Sneaking around like a rat! I've been waiting here for hours!“
The woman, who has been scolding her for nearly an hour, came closer with sloppy steps. She was slightly hunched over but her tired state clearly didn't stop her from letting her anger out on her.
„Where were you? Answer me! I didn't raise you like that!“, although she tried to yell, her voice only came out mumbled and obviously laced with alcoholic beverages.
„You didn't raise me at all“, (Y/N) tried to match her tone, hoping her remark wouldn't strike another explosive nerve.
„(Y/N)!“
Someone called out to her, but she couldn't see them. Opening her eyes sounded awfully painful right now; having to see the corpse again. Instead, she held her head with her right hand, covering her eyelids with the other arm. Her headache was pounding now as if someone was playing drums with her brain.
All lights were out when she came back home. Hoping her only roommate was already asleep, the young girl tiptoed around the living room. A slight shiver went down her spine when she noticed one window being completely open, letting in the chilly night air.
Holding the doorknob to her room, she watched the stars shine bright in the sky; brighter than her future. But they seemed so close since she was living on the 7th floor. Technically, she could just open the window a little wider and look at the faraway suns a little closer until she could barely hold herself-
„There you fucking are“, a voice surprised her from behind. It belonged to a woman in her mid-thirties. Her long blond hair framed her small shoulders and reached her elbows.
Those icy (E/C) eyes were glaring daggers at her, shining even brighter than the stars outside her window.
„You really think you can just leave and come whenever you want?“
She raised her voice a little as she took a few steps towards the (H/C) haired.„Hey! (Y/N)? Come on, this isn't funny.“
Something interrupted her memory. She couldn't quite pinpoint who this voice belonged to nor what the context of their sentence was. Her name was the only logical thing to pass their mouth.
