Daring. Sarcastic and loud. Rude and mischievously.
She drew everybody's attention towards herself and she loved it. Unlike everybody else, who tried their best to sneak around and avoid the gaze of the dark, she would yell her lungs out until someone came. Preferably someone who would be some kind of competition for her.
The first time he met her, she was standing in one of the empty houses on the second floor and calling him names from across the street. The others warned him to not get distracted by her. She did it to save her teammates time to repair the generators and she was quick in disappearing just like in showing up unexpectedly. She was the one catching him off guard, not like it should be the other way around.
A whistle cut through the thin air of the fields. He could make out her form a bit farther away, waiting for him to sprint towards her. A knowing smirk played itself on her lips.
He managed to sacrifice two of her teammates but he lost track of the other one, who was probably at one of the exits, opening them up. And she just needed to wait a few minutes and prevent him from making it to her partner.
„You're not going to get away this time“, he muttered to himself as he charged towards her. The (H/C) haired was quick to react and ran in the opposite direction. But now he wasn't planning on letting her escape. Not her. Her constant bickering and names calling. Her sarcastic remarks and the way she makes fun of him. It provoked him and she knew it.
In the distance, she could see the open gates and Dwight with a worried expression. The Legion was hot on her heels and she could hear his breathing close to her. It was easy for him to keep up with her constantly sliding over the palettes and jumping over the windows.
He was just like her in that matter, not like all the other creatures she outran before. And more importantly, he was the only one who even paid attention to her. Most of the other monsters didn't react to her calling after a while. They didn't want to step into her trap and rather waited for her to make a mistake. Understandable that a killer doesn't want to be fooled.
It didn't stop her from trying though, but with The Legion she found the fun in this game again. The chase and suspense it brought with it. The nonstop adrenaline kicking fun. That was exactly her thing and he provided her with that.
It was just a few more meters, however, he was too close now. (Y/N) was planning on jumping through another wooden window, but she let go of the idea as soon as she saw a dagger stuck to the side of the window. The young female fell backward and crawled farther away from him. The smile on his mask grossed her out and in the corner of her eye, she saw Dwight leaving through the open exit not even looking back at her.
F*cker
What was she supposed to do now? That wasn't planned at all.
Her heartbeat multiplied after she witnessed The Legion playing with the previous stuck dagger. He twearled it around in his hand, showing off and scaring her more. No, she couldn't be scared of him now.„Got ya'“, it was no more than a deep whisper. Her thick jacket didn't stop the goosebumps forming on her arms and a cold chill ran down her spine. Her fingers digged deeper inside the dirt, hoping she would find something of use. However, she knew that wasn't possible, not even in the slightest.
He stepped closer to her, taking his sweet *ss time. He wasn't expecting her to run, so she probably should.
Turning her back on him and retracting her hands out of the dirt, she wanted to sprint forward. Turns out, he did expect her to react like that as he pounced on her and held her down, pressing her face into the ground. She squeezed her eyes shut, but she wasn't fond of the idea of him finally killing her. Of course, death in a trial was not permanent.
But not him. Everybody but him. He didn't deserve that satisfaction. Not from her.
She was able to struggle a bit against his strong grasp on her and faced him now. Her hands were gripping his shoulders, denying him to come any closer, while he tried to pry them off by her wrists. His weapon should be somewhere near on the ground and she should be able to get it in just a few seconds.
She couldn't bring a word out, her sharp tongue was bound with an invisible rope. That rope was something he did to her.
Her hands struggled to keep his weight up any longer so she slid them upward to his throat, putting more pressure on it. However, it didn't seem to have much of an effect on him. In that second she noticed the ink on his neck that nearly went down to his chest.
It distracted her too much. He put her hands off of him and pinned them down beside her head. „You're putting up quite a fight, huh?“ His voice was threatening and deep. He could scare everybody away from him. Did that have something do to with him being here? „It's nearly a shame.“ Oh, right. He was going to kill her for the entity.
His gaze left her form for a second to retrieve his weapon. They were both out of breath but it was only visible on (Y/N)'s red cheeks. Was it really from the chase? Did she enjoy getting all his attention?
The heat coming from him, his piercing eyes, the sound of his voice. And all his focus belonged to her. She was receiving everything.
Her ears picked up a pleasant sound before The Legion targeted her with his eyes again. The dagger came down fast but she used the last strains of her reflex and grabbed ahold of it too, wrapping her hand around his cold one and bringing it closer to her face.
His mind shut down. Confusion built up inside his head as he watched the girl licking the side of his dagger, puzzling him.
Before he could put one and one together, she was gone. Distracted him like that and sprinted towards the hatch, disappearing the same way she showed up.
He looked down to his hands, the warmth of her tongue still lingered on his weapon. He knew it from the beginning. She was something.
