Chapter - 10

"Priya can you do me a favor?", I asked. "Ya say", she said and I took her away from the group.
I went to Malhaar's room and pressed the bell. She didn't open. I pressed again but she didn't reply. I took out my phone from my pocket and played the audio. "Malhaar please open the door. Fast!", Priya's voice in the audio said. I requested Priya to say it and record in my phone because I knew that Malhaar won't open the door and specially if she would come to know that I was outside. "One minute", Malhaar said from inside. My heart finally calmed down for a second after hearing her voice. She opened the door and stood still for a moment after seeing me. "Why were you not picking up the call?", I asked. "M..my phone was on silent", she fumbled. "And what about the messages?", I asked. "Why are you shouting?", she complained and I rolled my eyes. "Miss Malhaar Rathod, will you please tell me why were you not replying to my messages?", I asked in the softest tone possible. "Umm..actually I didn't check my phone", she said and looked down at her feet. "I'm not feeling well, I'll talk to you later", she said and tried to close the door but I entered the room before she closed the door. "Darshan what's your problem?", she snapped. "What's my problem? What's your problem Malhaar?", I snapped back and she gave me a confused look. "Both of us know that you are continuously avoiding me", I said. "I'm..I'm not avoiding you, I told you that I didn't check my phone and it was on silent so didn't come to know when you called or messaged", she said. "And what about the beach? Didn't you just came back from the beach after seeing me there?", I asked and she tightly closed her eyes because I was loud enough. "You're overreacting right now. Just go to your room and take some rest. We'll talk later", she said and tried to leave. I held her by her elbow and nailed her against the wall. "I'm overreacting or you? What's wrong with you?", I asked. She turned her face around and saw in other direction, I shrugged her hand by her elbow making her look towards me. "You're hurting me", she said and wrinked her nose, trying to free herself from my grip but I was tight enough. "And what about you? Aren't you hurting me since morning?", I complained. "Why are you doing this Malhaar", I said and my voice trailed off towards the end. She looked straight into my eyes. She had tears in her eyes which was hurting me even more. "Because I don't want to loose you", she finally said. "I don't know what you think but the thing is, I don't want to loose you, that's it", she said.
