It was almost midnight when I quietly left the hotel and went to the church. It was on the outskirts of Goa. It looked like a haunted house from a typical horror movie. It had broken windows, a big old-fashioned gate with rusted hinges. I went closer to the gate and the dried leaves under my feet and made loud noises as they broke into pieces. Strong cold winds crashed against my skin making shivers run down my spine. I took out my phone from my pocket and turned on the flashlight. I moved the phone in different directions making the light fall here and there. There were many weird things like decorating stuffs, broken glasses, different shoes which were separated from their partners and a white coloured powder was spread all around. I slowly pushed the church gate open and the rusted hinges made an extremely weird and horrifying sound. I went inside, some benches were broken, some had probably a kilogram of sand settled on them. The windows were broken and spiders had made their webs in them. Broken glass pieces were scattered not only near the windows but in the extreme center of the church too and that was weird. "I think the ghosts were drunk and had a fight", I joked and suddenly a strong breeze flew making the dust on the benches to settle on my body. The dust particles entered my nose making me sneeze. I moved my hand in air removing the dust and walked further. As I walked further, I heard some noises, or I'd say, human voices. I looked around and saw a few torn curtains, were moving and it seemed as if people hid behind them. "Who...who's there", I fumbled as I moved closer to the curtains. No one answered but the noises continued. I slowly moved my hand towards the curtain when I realised that I was shivering. I held the curtain and opened it with a jerk. No one was there, in fact there wasn't a window behind the curtain, there was a wall. I stood there, completely confused about what exactly was happening when I felt a tap on my shoulder and my heart was on the verge of breaking my ribs into pieces. I heavily exhaled calming myself down and turned around. Someone stood right behind me, probably just a few inches away. It was so dark that I couldn't see his face, all I could make out was a black figure standing in front of me. I raised my hand to point the flashlight on his face and I realised that the flashlight was turned off. I again turned on the flashlight and the moment I looked up from the screen and pointed the flashlight, that man was gone. He wasn't there anymore. "What! I'm sure someone was there. Someone tapped on my shoulder too", I said in disbelief and the flashlight again turned off and not only the flashlight, but my phone switched off. I tried to switch on the phone but it didn't. "Th..that's impossible. I had 100% battery in my phone when I came here", I said and pressed my forehead. I was badly sweating, I rubbed off the sweat from my forehead, shoved the phone in my pocket and again went towards the center of the church as something hard hit me from behind and I fell down and the left side of my forehead crashed against the corner of one of the benches.
