Chapter 17

Hiccup

After we locked him and walked out, I couldn't find Y/N before going over there. She definitely wasn't at the clubhouse, I checked my hut, the forest. "The beach..." I look over at Astrid and Heather who were already going to hit the hay.

I quickly get toothless and we go to find her. When we reached the beach I saw Crystal hanging upside down on a branch. "Y/N must be in her wing." I slide down the embankment and proceed to open her wings. Crystal moves a bit and growls at whoever disturbs her. When she realizes it's me, she opens her wings and lets Y/N gently and hops down with her.

"It was scary Hiccup. I couldn't believe that Dagur betrayed us. I trusted him..." I saw that Y/N had tears in her eyes as she started to break. I walked over to her and give Y/N comfort but she pulled away. "I need some time to think for the night. But I appreciate you comforting me." I nod. She walks to me and kisses my cheek. "Even though you are his brother, I still trust that you can make the right decision."

She mounts on Crystal and flies off. Leaving me to think about trusting Dagur or not. She seemed to know what his intentions before Heather waltzed right in and accused Dagur on behind a spy. "Lets go bud." He coos as I hop on his back and head back to my hut.

The next day, we were in the dome and getting ready to attack the shipyard, when I notice a figure in the sky, it was Y/N. Everyone was staring as she glided with grace around the dome. Toothless ran up to her while she hovered in mid-air. "There you are. I was wondering when you show up." She scoffs and lands on the ground. Crystal and Toothless trailing behind.

"You are attacking the shipyard today." She says uninterested. "Yes, the sooner we destroy his fleet. The less of a threat this becomes." She takes a heavy sigh. "Alright, and also, what about Dagur?" She asks in a tone that I recognized, the first time that I met when I asked about where she was from.

"When we get back, he'll be sent off or other things." She nods as confirmation. "Can we go check." I nod as I also grab Fishlegs and Heather to the stables. When we get there, Dagur was gone, and there was lava through the thick fabric. "You gotta admit, he did really well." We all give him the look of 'Really?'

"He must've already headed to the shipyard." Y/N explains. She calls her dragons and quickly grabs onto her neck and slides on. Wow. She really knows to ride Crystal. We follow her not long after.

We reach the shipyard, but we don't see Y/N. "Wait, where is she?" As I frantically Crain my head to look for her. "Her dragons scales are white, right? She must've blended in the environment as camouflage." Fishlegs explains. "Yes, that's correct." I look to see her next to me. "Sorry, I must've went to fast."

We see Dagur in the distance as he was nearing in on the shipyard. Heather went after and tried to fire at him with Windshear. But he went in the sun, and we couldn't look upward. Then he was right under Windshear and Shattermaster's tail hit her stomach and she collapsed on the sea stack.

Then, Dagur revealed that it was trap, hunters were scattered all over the place as nets were lowered and Dagur barrel rolled through the arrows. "He was right, it was trap. Eight ships weren't enough to lure us in, but Twelve ships were." Dagur flew into thick smoke and ash as we wouldn't see him anymore.

"We have to go after him!" Y/N stopped me. "Hiccup, there's nothing we can't do. We'll get captured..." I take a deep breath and nod at her. She was right, if we stayed any longer we would get captured.

All of us flew back to the edge in silence. The Dragons landed at the dome with ease, I proceeded to walk to my hut, the gang watched as I put the pieces away. "This is my fault, I should've listened to him." I spoke, feeling horrible about what happened.

"He knew it was trap and he still flew in." Astrid added on. "I will never forget the sacrifice he has made." I hear Y/N spoke. She did form a bond with him, and that bond was gone... Forever.
