Chapter 25

Hiccup

"I knew it all along, I was beginning to trust you." Mala said sadly, as she broke the dragon root arrow. "Mala, it's not what you think-" She started to get angry. "Slience Hiccup Haddock! The Fate of the village is sealed. But so is yours." As the defenders point the spears. "Your people are going to die for what you've done." I try to reason with her but she points a sword to my neck. "But first Hiccup Haddock, I'm going to kill you myself." She says while giving me a Death glare.

I hear Isabel yell for her to stop, her dragon steps in between us. Growling at her to stand down. "Mother wait! Look yes, they did trick us, but that doesn't mean they did it." As she looks at me with a  sympathetic look. "They were here on their own, and the moment that the dragons proved then innocent. Please, give them a chance." She looks at to her daughter.

She nods at the other defenders to lower their weapons, including Throk. "Fine, Hiccup Haddock. In order to prove that your innocent. You all will rescue the Eruptodon." I nod at her demand.

"Okay,  but some of us have to stay here to stop the Lava." She nods, I turn to the riders. "Heather, Ruff, Tuff stay here to help the defenders with stopping the lava." Heather nods, as she drags the twins off. "Rest of us will going."  Mala and her daughter step up when I mount on Toothless.

"Hiccup, we are going with you." Isabel says. "What?" Is all I could say. "No arguments, and that's final Hiccup Haddock." As Isabel mounts on her skrill. "That's a pretty cool dragon you have there." Fishlegs says, Isabel smiles and pats on its head. "Thanks-" then we hear rustling in the bushes that cuts her off.

All the dragons are growling as arrows are fired at Mala, she dodges it and goes through the underbrush and pulls out two hunters. We asked them where the Viggo was, when they wouldn't speak, toothless growls. "H-he went north!" One of the hunters shout. I go to mount Toothless once more as Mala rides with her daughter.

While flying Mala soothes the skrill, he was probably growing uncomfortable with all of us around him. She takes a look at Snoutlout, then to Isabel. "You know dear Snoutlout. It was foretold a man from afar would save my daughter in the field of battle."

"Really? Huh that's cool." He says uninterested. "Ugh, my mother means that you would be a-" she fake gags. "A perfect king..." she mumbles. We find a ship in the distance, but found it really odd that Viggo would have no backup.

Y/N

I was curled up into a ball against Crystal, who was scared to oblivion. Having some disgusting man ride against her will to kill Hiccup and Toothless.

I look across my cell to the caged dragon that trying to get free. Viggo explains to his dumb brother about what happens when you remove an animal from it's environment.

"At first, it becomes disoriented and aggressive. Then, finally, the creature accepts it's fate. It looses interest in killing its adversaries and becomes more concerned with its survival." He turns to me for a minute. "Isn't that right, my dear?" I ignore him and turn to face the wall. "Or at the very least, someone's expensive toy."

"Y/N dear, there is something it has to do, before we sell it. Something that Hiccup will never see coming." Viggo explains, and my eyes widen in fear.

Hiccup

We head toward the ship in the distance, I had the two royals and Snoutlout hang back for safety. We defeat the crew and head below deck to find the Eruptodon and the others weren't there. "They were left behind, and it was misdirection." We all talked and decided it was best to fly south to find Viggo.

As we fly over the ocean, Astrid points to Mala and Isabel. Who had their heads down in pain. "If guys are feeling airsick, we can land shortly." Mala shakes her head. "He is hungry Hiccup." She states. Is she talking about Snoutlout? "Snoutlout is always hungry." Mala explained that the Eruptodon must constantly eat lava or he'll die.

Isabel tells the story about when her mother was a child, a massive earthquake occurred and disrupted the flow of lava. The Eruptodon became so weak, he couldn't fly to another food source. And they all prayed for the lava to flow again.

"A dead dragon would be no use to Viggo. Since he has the dragon eye, we will fly all over every active Volcano until we spot him." Mala then states he doesn't need a active volcano to eat, and if he gets hungry enough, he will eat the crust of a dormant volcano until it erupts.

"Wait a minute... Dragons edge has a dormant volcano!" Fishlegs remind us. "Classic Maces and Talons move. Viggo is using the Eruptodon to destroy the edge."
