Chapter 22

Hiccup

I went after the chest, when Viggo threw the chest in the water. I quickly went after it. It was sinking further and further in the deep dark water. I latched onto it, but I realized I was losing oxygen and I slowly started to fade into unconsciousness.

Then I felt grab onto me, two clawed feet pulling me through the water when I saw it was Astrid. Meatlug was holding onto Toothless who roared happily. She set onto his back, while I handed Fishlegs the chest. "Wait, where's Y/N?" She asked quickly. I saw her go after Viggo to get the gold back, when I see Gobber on grump.

"What happened to Ryler?" He chuckles. "Oh, he fled when I taught him a thing or two." He looks to see his hooked hand missing. "He might've had a few tricks of his own." Then I hear Fishlegs grab my attention. "Uhh, Hiccup?" As he pulls a rock and hands it to me. "He switched chests on me. Which means-" I went quiet before even saying it. "He has Y/N..." Fishlegs answered quietly. "Don't worry, I'll take the heat from Stoick about Berk's gold. While you all figure out a plan to get Y/N back."

He grabs the chest from Fishlegs, and starts feeding him the rocks from the chest. "What? We can't let this go to waste. Besides, this guy needs to eat. Constantly." As we all fly off, Gobber heads back to Berk. While we head to the edge.

How could have I been so dumb? I know Y/N was trying to the right thing by getting Berk's gold back. But it wasn't worth it, her safety was more important than some silly gold. "You alright, Hiccup?" I didn't even hear Heather enter my hut. "Hiccup, its not your fault, or Y/N. We will figure it out. Please, don't stress yourself on how it wasn't your fault okay?" She tells me.

I take a deep sigh and play with the maces and talons board. "Hey, Hiccup."  Heather asks again. "Yeah?" I say, she smiles very wide. "Wanna do three rounds of Maces and Talons?" I smile back. "You're on." As I pull the rest of the pieces out.

Y/N

I groggily wake up to find myself in a cell. Of course, I say in my head. A hunter ship. I notice from across me that Crystal was laying down. A muzzle onto her head as she tried to get comfortable. And, I also notice the Flightmare too, she was also laying down but she was sleeping. Poor, girl. She must be tired after using up all her energy left.

I hear footsteps coming down the hall of cages, two hunter guards stare down at my form. They didn't feel any sympathy for me, and they continued walking. Not even a minute later, Viggo's brother shows up and pulls me to my feet and drags me to Viggo's chamber.

"Have a seat, my dear." I do as he says and sit down in a chair. He brings out a bottle full of water and two cups. "Would you like something to drink?" I nod again. "My brother asked you question." Ryker growls. "She already answered." He scowls in response. "Did you have nice rest?" I sigh. "Yes, now why am I here? And how will I prove useful for you?" He chuckles and leans forward.

"I already knew who you were, you weren't fully lying when you said you're part of a royal blood." He casually said.
"You're family was a powerful tribe, that rivaled my fathers business. You were there that day."

"Fleeing on your white dragon, when my father saw it. He was obsessed with finding it again." And he leaned back on his chair. "And now I have it." As he smirked. I was staying quiet on what he just said. I mean, my family was a powerful tribe, and did make me a princess by birth. But- why on earth would it connect with Viggo.

"And why would it connect with you?" I sharply say to him. I hear Ryker growl behind me. "Because, your father and mine. Were allies, fighting off dragons, and taking their skin and selling them. But he changed and decided that he we should just be friends." He said disgusted.

"So, on that night about 7 years ago, he planned to take you as a prisoner to me. For betraying him, but you fled. And hid away all those years until you finally resurfaced."  I didn't want to listen to anything Viggo had to say anymore.

His father and mine? It all doesn't make sense to me!!
