Just another day on Roserain Island, named after the beautiful display of flowers, meadows, and forests this island possesses. I happily ran around the meadow that rested just a few miles away from the village. My father; the chief, allowed me to play on my own because I wasn't interested in meetings with the town's folk.

I know it's my responsibility to listen and give what the people need; but I'm too young to do that; I want to have fun, I want to be free and wild. Like a dragon; we were friends to the dragons once my father realized that making peace with them, was a much better lifestyle for me because he used to hunt him; even though many other chief's and leaders despise him. Others respect him because he easily had one of the most powerful armada's in the archipelago.

"Y/N, dear! Come, it's nearly dark, and your father wishes to have you home!" My mother yelled across the field of flowers. I turned and giggled. "Coming mother!" As I ran across the field; carefully not stepping on the flowers that I liked. Taking my mothers hand, we walked back to the village; nearly everyone had either retired for the night or was patrolling the streets.

We reached the house and walked inside and took off our boots. My father sat on a chair, he took noticed of me and I ran into his arms. He lifted my tiny little waist in the air, spinning me in circles. He laughed, my mother laughed, and I laughed. All being happy together, he set me down and sat at the table with his chair.

"Discovered any new dragons? My little princess?" I shook my head. "No.... only Purple Nadder's and terrible terrors." I told him, he simply chuckled. "No Night fury?" My mother asked me. I shook my head again.

"Honey, all Furies have been extinct; it would be rare if another appeared." My father explained. After eating dinner I grew tired and I walked up the stairs to my room that lied in the house.

I changed into my long, sky blue night gown that had sleeves that reached my wrists and went to my ankles. Climbing into bed, I blew the little flame that was on the candle and closed my eyes.

Loud groaning was all I heard from outside. I open my eyes and I climb up from the covers of my blanket. I silently tip-toed out out of the house and into the back forest behind it. Making sure I didn't wake my parents up or risking my location, I walked around the crisp leaves and branches that layered the floor of the forest. Thick, tall grass met my gaze and I moved them apart only to see something amazing.

A white dragon was laying asleep not far from me. I looked both to my left and right and went further. Then, the dragon started making cute noises as it was waking up. I stopped half way to give it distance, it opened its wing and I was met with a crystal, blue eye. Mesmerized by its beauty, I continued to walk further and it remained calm, but it hissed at me to stay back. Realizing I had a weapon on me, I threw the little dagger away from me and it calmed down a bit. I walked around where it growled at me and it seemed to accept me.

I was now it front of it, its eyes becoming calm and....beautiful. I wanted to touch her, but I didn't know if she wanted me to. Twigs snapped in the distance and the white dragon's eyes suddenly became slitted and she jumped and fired a- plasma blast?! It caused a small explosion and a tree fell in the background, then I saw two silhouettes appear. "Y/N!" My father said panicked, the white dragon growled aggressively again and fired another plasma blast. This time, my mother had to push my father to avoid being hit.
